Objective: In this retrospective analysis, we explored the clinical characteristics and risk factors of secondary infections in patients with severe heatstroke with the aim to gain epidemiological insights and identify risk factors for secondary infections.
Method: The study included 129 patients with severe heatstroke admitted to the General Hospital of the Southern Theater Command of the PLA between January 1, 2011, and December 31, 2021. Patients were divided into an infection group (n = 24) and a non-infection group (n = 105) based on infection occurrence within 48 h of intensive care unit (ICU) admission.
Background : Severe heatstroke patients have a poor prognosis. There are few descriptions of the inflammatory response to heatstroke in clinical studies. Systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) is a new index to reflect the inflammatory state of disease.

Despite this interest, systematic and direct comparative studies assessing the effectiveness and safety of these therapies in patients with CHD-CHF remain scarce.
Methods: This study aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of conventional treatment, conventional treatment integrated with aerobic endurance training, and various TCM health exercises in treating patients with CHD-CHF using NMA.
Objective: In recent years, researchers have observed a potential association between alterations in gut microbiota and the onset and progression of heart failure. Nevertheless, the causal relationship between gut microbiota and heart failure remains a topic of controversy. This study employed a two-sample Mendelian randomization approach to investigate the causal link between gut microbiota and heart failure.

Heatstroke (HS) is a life-threatening injury requiring neurocritical care which could lead to central nervous system dysfunction and severe multiple organ failure syndrome. The cell-cell adhesion and cell permeability are two key factors for characterizing HS. To investigate the process of HS, a biochip-based electrical model was proposed and applied to HS.

Methods: Computer searches of 3 Chinese literature databases (CNKI, VIP, WangFang) and 4 English literature databases (PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Web of Science), all searched from the time of database construction to October 2022. Two researchers were selected to independently perform literature screening, data extraction, and risk of bias evaluation, and meta-analysis of the included studies was performed using RevMan 5.
The goal of the present study was to evaluate the fecal microbiome and serum metabolites in Xuebijing (XBJ)-injected rats after heat stroke using 16S rRNA gene sequencing and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) metabolomics. Eighteen rats were divided into the control group (CON), heat stroke group (HS), and XBJ group. The 16S rRNA gene sequencing results revealed that the abundance of Bacteroidetes was overrepresented in the XBJ group compared to the HS group, while Actinobacteria was underrepresented.

The retailer may choose to disclose his cost information to the manufacturers. Using a three-stage game-theoretic model, we derive optimal pricing strategies for each participant, and optimal information sharing strategies, and the optimal level of the value-added services for the retailer.
