Materials And Methods: Cases with ROSE of lymph nodes for assessment of involvement by SCLC between 2020 and 2024 at our institution were reviewed.
Objective: Although endoscopic technologies have been increasingly applied in lumbar fusion surgery in recent years, the advantages and disadvantages of endoscopic posterolateral fusion compared with lateral fusion remain unclear. Six different single-level lumbar interbody fusion procedures were compared to determine whether indirect decompression fusion could achieve levels of efficacy and safety comparable to those of minimally invasive direct decompression fusion in the treatment of lumbar degenerative disease (LDD).
Method: A literature search was conducted in the PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases, and studies on the treatment of LDD published from 2004 to March 2024 were retrieved.
Purpose: Acute coronary syndrome (ACS), comprising unstable angina and acute myocardial infarction, is the most dangerous and fatal form of coronary heart disease. This study evaluates serum bile acids (BAs) and amino acids (AAs) as potential predictors of AMI in UA patients.
Patients And Methods: A total of 72 Non-Coronary Artery Disease (NCAD) patients, 157 UA patients, and 79 AMI patients were analyzed.
To compare the efficacy and safety of low-power holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (LP-HoLEP) with plasma kinetic resection of prostate (PKRP). Sixty-three patients treated with transurethral LP-HoLEP (observation group) and 68 patients treated with transurethral PKRP (control group) at Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from November 2019 to November 2022 were retrospectively compared with regard to operation duration, intra-operative blood loss, prostate resection ratio, postoperative bladder irrigation time, postoperative indwelling urinary catheter time, postoperative urinary incontinence incidence, International Prostate Symptom Scale (IPSS), maximum urine flow rate (Qmax), and residual urine volume (RUV). In both groups, postoperative IPSS, Qmax, and RUV were significantly improved compared to preoperative values (P < 0.

Background: Pancreatic mixed neuroendocrine-non-neuroendocrine neoplasms (MiNENs) are rare malignancies affecting the pancreas. The World Health Organization defines MiNENs as neoplasms composed of morphologically recognizable neuroendocrine and non-neuroendocrine components, each constituting 30% or more of the tumor volume. Adenocarcinoma-neuroendocrine carcinoma is the most frequent MiNEN combination.

Conjugated polymers as photothermal agents offer stability, biocompatibility, and adjustable absorption capacity. However, existing polymers face limitations in achieving high photothermal conversion efficiency and strong absorbance in the near-infrared (NIR) region, posing a risk of damaging healthy tissues surrounding GBM during precise PTT.

Materials And Methods: Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction was utilized to determine expression quantities of MIR210HG and miR-1226-3p.
Objectives: Cage subsidence is a common complication of oblique lumbar interbody fusion (OLIF), particularly in elderly patients with osteoporosis or osteopenia. While bilateral pedicle screw fixation (BPS) is effective in reducing subsidence, it is associated with longer operative times, increased blood loss, and greater tissue trauma. In contrast, anterolateral fixation (AF) is less invasive but linked to higher subsidence rates.

This study aimed to evaluate the reliability and validity of the Chinese POMA in patients with stroke.
Methods: The POMA was applied to volunteer patients with stroke from the Shanghai MCC Hospital.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common type of arthritis characterized by progressive cartilage degradation, with its pathogenesis closely related to chondrocyte autophagy. Chondrocytes are the only cells in articular cartilage, and the function of chondrocytes plays a vital role in maintaining articular cartilage homeostasis. Autophagy, an intracellular degradation system that regulates energy metabolism in cells, plays an incredibly important role in OA.

Protection of surviving cells or inducing the differentiation of stem cells into functional cells is considered to be an important way of neurorepair. In addition, transdifferentiation technology emerged recently is expected to provide new solutions for nerve regeneration.

Growing evidence indicates that the activation of the inflammatory response system with interleukin (IL)-2, IL-4, IL-8, IL-10, and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) plays an important role in the pathogenesis of schizophrenia,. However, clinical data on cytokine levels in patients with schizophrenia treated with antipsychotics are inconsistent or inconclusive.

Introduction: Previous studies have indicated that exposure to heavy metals related to bone health is primarily limited to some common harmful metals, and the impact of lead has not been fully understood. This study aims to explore the relationship between urine lead exposure and bone density.
Methods: 1,310 adults were included from the NHANES database (2015-2018), and through generalized linear regression analysis and constrained cubic spline models, the association between lead levels and total bone density as well as lumbar spine bone density was explored.
In this study, we employed bioinformatics techniques to identify genes associated with apoptosis in recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL). We retrieved the RPL expression profile datasets GSE165004 and GSE73025 from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. We also obtained data from the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) Pathway of Apoptosis (hsa04210) to identify apoptosis-related genes.

The resulting repeat RNA and dipeptide repeat proteins from non-conventional repeat translation have been recognized as important markers associated with the diseases. CRISPR/Cas13d, a powerful RNA-targeting tool, has faced challenges in effectively targeting RNA with stable secondary structures.

Objective: As the population ages and technology advances, lateral lumbar intervertebral fusion (LLIF) is gaining popularity for the treatment of degenerative lumbar scoliosis (DLS). This study investigated the feasibility, minimally invasive concept, and benefits of LLIF for the treatment of DLS by observing and assessing the clinical efficacy, imaging changes, and complications following the procedure.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed for 52 DLS patients (12 men and 40 women, aged 65.
Introduction: Nodular pulmonary amyloidosis (NPA) is a localized form of light chain (AL) amyloidosis often found incidentally and typically has an indolent and benign disease course treated with resection or local excision. We present a patient with recurrent localized AL amyloidosis who required further treatment.
Case Presentation: A 63-year-old female with monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS) was found to have pulmonary AL amyloid on wedge resection and later had recurrence.
The field of cancer immunotherapy has experienced significant progress, resulting in the emergence of numerous biological drug candidates requiring in vivo efficacy testing and a better understanding of their mechanism of action (MOA). Humanized immune system (HIS) models are valuable tools in this regard. However, there is a lack of systematic guidance on HIS modeling.
