Herein, an innovative strategy is proposed to obtain a satisfactory waterborne polyurethane (PMWPU-Bx) by in situ anchoring 3-aminophenylboronic acid (3-APBA) in a pyrene-capped waterborne polyurethane (PMWPU) via supramolecular interactions. The multiple functional sites inherent in 3-APBA can produce supramolecular interactions with groups on PMWPU, promoting the aggregation of hard domains in the polymer network, which confers the PMWPU-Bx strength (7.

However, diabetic foot ulcer is often accompanied by decreased muscle function, even resulting in muscle atrophy. During wound repair, monitoring muscle function at the wound site in real time can identify the decreased muscle strength timely, which is crucial for precise wound rehabilitation.

However, insufficient immunogenicity and immunosuppression hamper the therapeutic effects of nanovaccines. Here, biodegradable nanovaccines (OMPP) composed of ovalbumin (OVA)-manganese oxide nanoparticles, amphiphilic poly(γ-glutamic acid) (γ-PGA), and ε-polylysine (PL) are constructed to realize enhanced cancer immunotherapy.

However, the inherent toxicity of metallic catalysts and numerous bacterial toxins during the therapeutic process still hinder its development. Herein, biomimetic metal-organic (MOF@EV) nanosponges composed of ginger-derived extracellular vesicles (EVs), and electrodynamic metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are developed for the eradication of bacterial infections and the absorption of toxins.

Dietary intake, as a modifiable determinant, has elicited considerable interest due to its prospective role in preventing and alleviating sarcopenia.
Methods: this investigation employed Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis, a robust statistical method, to investigate the causal associations between dietary consumption and sarcopenia-associated phenotypes, including appendicular lean mass (ALM), hand grip strength, and walking pace.
The combination of nanoparticles and tumor-targeting bacteria for cancer immunotherapy can overcome the shortcomings of poor nanoparticle accumulation, limited penetration, and restricted distribution. However, it remains a great challenge for the hybrid system to improve therapeutic efficacy through the simultaneous and controllable regulation of immune cells and tumor cells. Herein, a hybrid therapeutic platform is rationally designed to achieve immune cascade-augmented cancer immunotherapy.

However, most of the superhydrophobic coatings constructed from HSPs are monofunctional, constraining their broader applications. Moreover, traditional methods for constructing HSPs mostly rely on complicated chemical routes and template removal.

Carbon monoxide (CO) gas therapy demonstrates great potential to induce cancer cell apoptosis and antitumor immune responses, which exhibits tremendous potential in cancer treatment. However, the therapeutic efficacy of CO therapy is inhibited by the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME). Herein, a facile strategy is proposed to construct hollow-structured rough nanoplatforms to boost antitumor immunity and simultaneously reverse immunosuppression by exploring intrinsic immunomodulatory properties and morphological optimization of nanomaterials.

This method is simple and has the potential for large-scale preparation. For the first time, we successfully obtained hollow polysiloxane nanoparticles with different shapes, including eccentric hollow polysiloxane microspheres (EHPM), apple-like hollow polysiloxane microparticles (AHPM), and bowl-like hollow polysiloxane microparticles (BHPM), by simply changing the solvent.

Polymer-based hemostatic materials/devices have been increasingly exploited for versatile clinical scenarios, while there is an urgent need to reveal the rational design/facile approach for procoagulant surfaces through regulating blood-material interactions. In this work, degradable powders (PLPS) and thermoresponsive gels (F127-PLPS) are readily developed as promising hemostatic materials for versatile clinical applications, through tuning blood-material interactions with optimized grafting of cationic polylysine: the former is facilely prepared by conjugating polylysine onto porous starch particle, while F127-PLPS is prepared by the simple mixture of PLPS and commercial thermosensitive polymer. In vitro and in vivo results demonstrate that PLPS2 with the optimal-/medium content of polylysine grafts achieve the superior hemostatic performance.

Natural melanin nanoparticles (MNPs) have demonstrated a potential for eliciting antitumor immune responses through inducing immunogenic cell death (ICD); however, the tumor microenvironment (TME) has been shown to inhibit T cell-mediated antitumor immunity. To address this challenge, we designed TME-responsive biodegradable melanin/MnO nanohybrids via a biomineralization process. Under near-infrared (NIR) light irradiation, the photothermal property of melanin/MnO nanohybrids triggers ICD and release of tumor-associated antigens (TAAs), while Mn and TAAs induce dendritic cell (DC) maturation to provoke immune responses.
