The cascade reaction of lipopolysaccharides (LPS), cell-free DNA (cfDNA), and reactive oxygen species (ROS), drives the development of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Herein, we construct polyethylenimide (PEI)-L/D-tartaric acid (L/D-TA) complexes templated mesoporous organosilica nanoparticles (MON) (PEI-L/D-TA@MON) by mimicking biosilicification under ambient conditions within seconds. The chiral nanomedicines include four functional moieties, wherein PEI electrostatically attracts cfDNA, tetrathulfide bonds reductively react with ROS, silanol groups adsorb LPS, and L/D-TA enables chiral recognition and inflammatory localization.

In real-world scenarios, multi-view multi-label learning often encounters the challenge of incomplete training data due to limitations in data collection and unreliable annotation processes. The absence of multi-view features impairs the comprehensive understanding of samples, omitting crucial details essential for classification. To address this issue, we present a task-augmented cross-view imputation network (TACVI-Net) for the purpose of handling partial multi-view incomplete multi-label classification.

Cancer segmentation in whole-slide images is a fundamental step for estimating tumor burden, which is crucial for cancer assessment. However, challenges such as vague boundaries and small regions dissociated from viable tumor areas make it a complex task. Considering the usefulness of multi-scale features in various vision-related tasks, we present a structure-aware, scale-adaptive feature selection method for efficient and accurate cancer segmentation.

The duration of rapid salinity change (RSC) prevailing in estuarine and coastal regions is increasing due to extreme climate and weather events, posing significant challenges to marine bivalves. The Hong Kong oyster (Crassostrea hongkongensis), an ecologically and economically important species in tropical estuarine ecosystems, has experienced increasing mass mortality during prolonged periods of RSC, yet little is known about underlying physiological processes. Here, we investigated how physiological energetics of C.

Traditional methods of plasmid delivery, including viral vectors, lipofection, and electroporation, are widely used for gene editing but have limitations, such as cellular toxicity, limited transfection efficiency in primary cells, and nonspecific side effects. Here, we report the development of nucleus pulposus cell (NPC)-mimicking nanoparticles (HIF1A@NNP) with an NPC membrane as the shell and pcDNA3.1-rHIF1A encapsulated in the core via extrusion.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the risk factors for severe radiation pneumonitis (RP) after thoracic radiotherapy (RT) in patients with locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), develop a prediction model to identify high-risk groups, and investigate the impact of severe RP on overall survival (OS).

Methods: We retrospectively collected clinical, dosimetric, and hematological factors of patients with stage III NSCLC receiving thoracic RT without immunotherapy. The primary and secondary end points were severe RP and OS, respectively.

Verticillium wilt is an important disease that seriously affects the quality and yield of cotton. Fungal vascular diseases caused by Verticillium dahliae hinders the sustainable development of cotton cultivation. The most effective strategy for managing Verticillium wilt in cotton involves identifying resistance genes, investigating resistance mechanisms, and developing resistant varieties.

The effect of electromagnetic exposure on health is becoming increasingly important as it affects many aspects of human life and health. However, the effects in environmental electromagnetic fields on the male reproductive system were still controversial, and the impacts of long-term microwave exposure on testicular tissue remain poorly defined. This study exposed rats to 30 mW/cm of microwave radiation (2.

The diffuse Galactic gamma-ray emission is a very important tool used to study the propagation and interaction of cosmic rays in the Milky Way. In this Letter, we report the measurements of the diffuse emission from the Galactic plane-covering Galactic longitudes from 15° to 235° and latitudes from -5° to +5°, in an energy range of 1 to 25 TeV-made with the Water Cherenkov Detector Array (WCDA) of the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory. After the sky regions of known sources are masked, the diffuse emission is detected with 24.

Tracking and eradicating drug-resistant bacteria are critical for combating implant-associated infections, yet effective antibacterial therapies remain elusive. Herein, we propose an oxygen vacancy-rich (BiFe)(BaTi)O nanoreactor as a piezoelectric sonosensitizer by spatiotemporal ultrasound-driven sono- and chemodynamic tandem catalysis to amplify antibacterial efficacy. The piezoelectric charge carriers under a built-in electric field synchronize the reaction of O and HO, efficiently generating HO.

In response to issues such as high miss-seeding rates and uneven seed grain distribution during the operation of the pendulum-lever camshaft hole seeders under the compound planting mode of corn and soybeans in hilly mountainous areas, a method for optimizing the hole seeders by adjusting movable pendulum-lever angle and the number of cam roller groups is proposed. By analyzing the motion process and mechanism of hole formation of the hole-forming device, it was possible to elucidate the influence of the movable pendulum-lever angle and cam roller group number on the improvement of seeding quality. Based on the DEM-MBD coupled simulation, single-factor simulation experiments were conducted using the hole seeders shaft speed, movable pendulum- lever angle, and cam roller group number as test factors, with the seed grain qualification rate, reseeding rate, and miss-seeding rate as test indicators.

Purpose: Fibroblast activation protein (FAP) is highly expressed in cancer-associated fibroblasts and certain tumor cells, making it a promising therapeutic target for various malignancies. This study evaluated the efficacy and safety of 177Lu-Evans blue-FAP inhibitor (177Lu-LNC1004) radioligand therapy (RLT) for treating end-stage metastatic tumors.

Patients And Methods: This single-arm, single-center, phase II trial included 28 patients with progressive metastatic malignancies (11 types) and high FAP expression (defined as a maximum standardized uptake value ≥10 in >50% of tumors) who had exhausted all approved therapies, screened between June 2022 and April 2024.

Mental illness remains a significant public health challenge in Australia, affecting nearly half of the adult population and placing a considerable strain on the healthcare system. The Australian government has implemented the Stepped Care Model (SCM) within primary mental health care to address this issue to improve service access, efficiency, and outcomes. This study explores the experiences of nine consumers (also referred to as patients) who received care under the SCM, focusing on their perspectives on accessing and navigating mental health services.

: TFEB activation is associated with prolonged survival in LUAD patients, suggesting potential benefits of TFEB agonists in LUAD treatment. In this study, we identify ginkgetin (GK), derived from , as a natural TFEB agonist, which has demonstrated promising anticancer effects in our previous research. TFEB activation has been shown to promote GPX4 degradation, inducing ferroptosis; however, the specific E3 ligases, deubiquitinating enzymes (DUBs), and types of polyubiquitination chains involved remain unclear.

The intricate relationship between tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) and cancer cells is pivotal for carcinogenesis, with TAMs being integral to the tumor microenvironment (TME). This study explores the novel mechanisms by which TAMs regulate the progression of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) within the TME. Using a co-culture system and methodologies such as cytokine arrays, proteomics, and CRISPR-Cas9, we investigated the crosstalk between TAMs and TNBC cells.
