Recent efforts have revealed that long non-coding RNAs exert crucial roles in cancer initiation and progression. RHPN1-AS1 is a 2030 bp transcript from human chromosome 8q24, and involved in tumorigenesis in uveal melanoma and non-small cell lung cancer, but it remains unknown in ovarian cancer. A growing body of evidence suggested that time can be represented separately either on the lateral, sagittal or vertical axis. However, it is still not clear whether these mental time lines from different origins could co-exist, or compete with each other such that if one is selected, the others are inhibited? The present study addressed this question using a multi-dimensional free-choice paradigm with Mandarin speakers in three experiments. The results showed that significant spatial-temporal congruency effects were found both on the lateral and sagittal/vertical axes in the horizontal/coronal plane either in a temporal judgment relevant or irrelevant task.

Eliminating cracks is a big challenge for the selective laser melting (SLM) process of low-weldable Nickel-based superalloy. In this work, three scanning strategies of the snake, stripe partition, and chessboard partition were utilized to prepare René 104 Ni-based superalloy, of which the cracking behavior and the residual stress were investigated. The results showed that the scanning strategies had significant effects on the cracking, residual stress, and relative density of the SLMed René 104 superalloy.

Recurrent infections are common, despite robust immune responses. infection elicited protective antibody and T cell responses in mice that expressed the Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) of the H-2 haplotype, but not H-2, demonstrating that host genetics drives individual variability. Vaccination with a-toxin or leukotoxin E (LukE) elicited similar antibody and T cell responses in mice expressing H-2 or H-2, but vaccine-elicited responses were inhibited by concomitant infection in H-2-expressing mice.

Sonic hedgehog (Shh) is an important regulator of penile erectile function in adult males, and abnormal Shh signals may be involved in the mechanisms of ED. Current studies on the relationship of the Shh signaling pathway with ED are mainly concentrated on neurogenic ED caused by bilateral cavernous nerve injury, diabetes-induced endocrinological ED, and senile ED. Objective: To explore the regulatory effect of salidroside on H2O2-induced decrease in the expression of the connexin43 (Cx43) protein in corpus cavernosum smooth muscle cells (CCSMC).

Methods: Rat CCSMCs were isolated, primarily cultured in vitro and identified by immunocytochemical assay. The optimum concentration of H2O2 for intervention was determined by detecting its effect on the viability of the CCSMCs and used in the treatment of the CCSMCs for different lengths of time, and meanwhile salidroside was applied at 16 μg/ml (low dose) or 64 μg/ml (high dose) for intervention.

Stellera chamaejasme is one of the most serious weeds in Qinhai-Tibetan Plateau, the rapid expansion of which exerts an increasing effect on the alpine meadow ecosystem. With high-throughput sequencing technology, geostatistics and GIS method, the spatial heterogeneity of soil fungal diversity in Stellera occurrence area and the spatial correlation between Stellera coverage and soil fungal diversity were investigated in a typical degraded alpine meadow of the Qilian Mountain. Compared to no-Stellera area, the fungi richness in Stellera area decreased, the dominance increased, and the α-diversity reduced.

A novel online two-dimensional supercritical fluid chromatography/reversed-phase liquid chromatography-triple-quadrupole mass spectrometry (2D SFC/RPLC-QQQ MS) method based on a vacuum solvent evaporation interface was developed for lipid profiling in human plasma, in which lipid classes were separated by the first-dimension SFC and different lipid molecular species were further separated by the second-dimension RPLC. All separation condition parameters were carefully optimized, and their influence on the chromatographic behavior of lipids is discussed. Finally, the recoveries of 11 lipid standards were all more than 88% for the interface.
