A bibliometric analysis of 100 top-cited journal articles related to acupuncture regulation of the autonomic nervous system.

Purpose: Research on the effects of acupuncture on autonomic function has been conducted for several decades, and a few notable studies have emerged in recent years. This study used bibliometric analysis to assess 100 top-cited articles to characterize the current status and research trends over the last three decades.

Methods: The 100 top-cited publications were identified from the Web of Science Core Collection database.

However, whether Epac1/Piezo2, as the upstream of 5-HT, is involved in this process remains unclear. We investigated whether EA at the ST36 and ST37 acupoints alleviated visceral and somatic hypersensitivity in a post-inflammatory IBS (PI-IBS) model mice the Epac1-Piezo2 axis.

Trends in Piezo Channel Research Over the Past Decade: A Bibliometric Analysis.

We used bibliometric methods to evaluate the global scientific output of research on Piezo channels and explore the current status and trends in this field over the past decade. Piezo channel-related studies published in 2010-2020 were retrieved from Web of Science. The R bibliometrix package was used for quantitative and qualitative analyses of publication outputs and author contributions.
