Gastric cancer (GC) is the fourth most common cancer and the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Despite recent advancements, clinical outcomes for GC remain unsatisfactory. Mesenchymal stem cell (MSC)-derived extracellular vesicles (EVs) have shown promise in inhibiting tumor progression, but their role in GC, specifically human umbilical cord MSC-derived small EVs (hucMSC-sEVs), is not well understood.

The connectivity and permeability of the coal seam pore structures control the occurrence and migration of coalbed methane. Coal samples were used from Huainan-Huaibei to reconstruct three-dimensional models of the pores and an equivalent pore network model, Statistical pore structure characteristic parameters. The pore structure of the coal reservoir was analyzed from the direction of multidimensional and multiangle.

The connectivity of the pore/fracture system is the key to CO injection and CH production, which is of great significance in analyzing the correlation and weight of the influencing factors affecting the connectivity on the microscale. First, the 3D reconstruction of the coal reservoir is realized. Second, the characteristic parameters of pore/fracture structures are analyzed.

Human leukocyte antigen (HLA) class II alleles are considered to play a key role in the progress of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). This study was carried out to investigate the presence of HLA class II alleles and their influence on disease risk and autoantibody status in Chinese Han patients with RA. Here, HLA-DRB1, DQB1 and DPB1 genotyping was performed in 125 RA patients and 120 healthy controls by using the next-generation sequencing (NGS).

Background/aims: The correlation between platelet levels and clinical outcomes has received increasing attention, but it is not yet clear whether and how platelet levels affect the therapeutic response in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). In the current study, we aimed to explore the role of platelet levels in responsive to platinum-based chemotherapy and investigated the underlying mechanism.

Methods: We evaluated the possibility of platelet level as a biomarker for response to platinum-based therapy in NSCLC by retrospective analysis of NSCLC patients.
