Upcycling organic and inorganic waste into value-added metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) presents a sustainable strategy for mitigating waste pollution and promoting economic viability. However, rapid synthesis of MOF materials derived from actual industrial waste under mild conditions remains challenging. Herein, Fe-MOF MIL-88B(Fe) was successfully fabricated within 1 h at room temperature using galvanizing pickling waste liquid and terephthalic acid derived from waste poly(ethylene terephthalate).

To address these challenges, a green and sustainable synthesis of sandwich bread-like ATP@MIP was conducted using polyethylenimide (PEI) and deep eutectic solvent (DES) as hydrophilic bi-functional monomers via layer-by-layer self-assembly on the attapulgite (ATP) carrier. The new ATP@MIP can provide a higher density of imprinting sites with more orderly and uniform distribution due to inhibiting the competitive polymerization between PEI and DES, thereby significantly enhancing recognition ability.

This study aimed to investigate discrepancies in programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression, tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs), tertiary lymphoid structures (TLS), and tumor mutational burden (TMB) between matched BMs and primary tumors (PTs) in NSCLC.
Methods: Twenty-six pairs of surgically resected BMs and corresponding PTs from NSCLC patients were collected.
Background: Multifocality is a distinctive feature of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC); however, the biological behavior of PTC and its optimal management strategy remain unclear. The aim of this study was to analyze the clinical features and prognostic differences of multifocal papillary carcinoma and to guide the precise treatment of multifocal papillary carcinoma.
Methods: The medical records of 1,139 patients with PTC who had undergone total or hemi-thyroidectomy between April and October 2013 at the Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital were reviewed.
Introduction/aims: MScanFit and StairFit are two motor unit number estimation (MUNE) methods derived from a compound muscle action potential (CMAP) scan. This study aims to compare MScanFit and StairFit MUNE values by applying both methods to the same muscles.
Methods: CMAP scans were recorded from the extensor digitorum brevis (EDB) and abductor digiti minimi (ADM) muscles.
In the eastern segment of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt (CAOB), there is widespread volcanic magma activity. However, there is still considerable controversy over the formation mechanisms and material sources of these volcanoes. The mantle transition zone (MTZ), as a necessary channel for the upward and downward movement of mantle material and energy exchange may provide crucial constraints on the dynamic mechanisms of volcanic activity.

The hydrogel can respond and degrade specifically in the simulative acidic tumor microenvironment (TME), and the released Cu can deplete glutathione (GSH) in tumor cells and generate Cu. It is worth noting that, Cu can further catalyze the Fenton-like reaction to generate cancer cell-toxic hydroxyl radicals (OH•).

MicroRNAs were related to AAA formation, which bring the approach for precise and targeted drug therapy for AAA. We developed a new strategy based on decellularized adipose matrix (DAM) hydrogel immobilized on the adventitia to release antagomiR-150-5p for preventing the AAA development.

This study focused on programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression (Clone SP263) and immune cell (IC) markers (CD3, CD8, CD68, CD20, CD21) in 110 EC cases. In this cohort, the molecular subtype distribution was: POLE mutation (POLEmut) 7.

Recent evidence demonstrated the addition of programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) inhibitors enhanced therapeutic efficacy. However, the mechanisms of response and resistance remain largely undefined.

Two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) with piezoelectric effects are ideal materials for future wearable devices. While enhancing the piezoelectric performance by forming vertical heterojunctions, shortcomings such as contamination at the heterojunction interface and limited built-in electric field width have been noticed. In this work, a lateral heterojunction of monolayer WSe-MoSe with type-II band alignment was employed to amplify the electromechanical optoelectronic efficiency.

Importance: Understanding the outcomes of artificial light at night (ALAN) on insomnia is crucial for public health, particularly in rapidly urbanizing regions. However, evidence of the association between ALAN exposure and insomnia is limited, despite the large number of people exposed to ALAN.
Objective: To explore the association between outdoor ALAN exposure and insomnia among the Chinese population.
Background: β-Amyloid (Aβ) fibrillation is critical for Aβ deposition and cytotoxicity during the progression of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Consequently, anti-Aβ monoclonal antibody drugs targeting Aβ oligomers and aggregation are considered potential therapeutic strategies for AD treatment. Similar to the working mechanisms of anti-Aβ monoclonal antibody drugs, our study identified osmundacetone (OAC), a small-molecule compound isolated from the traditional Chinese medicine Rhizoma Osmundae, as exerting anti-AD effects by targeting Aβ.

A novel bio-supramolecular solvent (bio-SUPRAS) based on rhamnolipids (RLs) was designed for efficient extraction of pyrethroid insecticides in water and food matrices. Benefiting from RLs as amphiphiles equipped with the attractive properties of bio-degradable, low toxicity and high stability, bio-SUPRAS was spontaneously generated through salt induced coagulation. The bio-SUPRAS was characterized by cryo-scanning electron microscope and main factors influencing the extraction performance were investigated in detail.

Aims: Endothelial cell (EC) dysfunction plays a key role in the initiation and progression of cardiovascular disease. However, studying these disorders in ECs from patients is challenging; hence, the use of human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) and their in vitro differentiation into ECs represents a very promising approach. Still, the generation of hiPSC-derived ECs (hECs) remains demanding as a cocktail of growth factors and an intermediate purification step are required for hEC enrichment.
