Combining the photo-Fenton catalytic reaction with membrane separation technology can effectively treat oils and dyes in water. However, single iron-based catalysts suffer from limited photogenerated carrier utilization and slow Fe/Fe redox reactions, leading to membrane contamination. In this study, iron oxyhydroxide and Prussian blue were grown on a PVDF membrane, optimizing electron transfer to improve the catalytic efficiency (the methylene blue degradation efficiency was nearly 50% in 10 min and the reaction rate constant was 0.

Alternatively, we proposed ARROW gas sensors using chalcogenide (ChG) anti-resonant layers which require thermal evaporation and epoxy resin bonding for fabrication instead of the complicated wafer bonding process. Polarization characteristics and ethylene (CH) sensing performance at 1.

To evaluate the migration, transformation, and fate of tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA) in the environment, the transformation/degradation (T/D) products of TBBPA and byproducts of industrial production should be distinguished. Herein, 7 reported T/D products (R1-R7) and 7 novel byproducts (N1-N7) of TBBPA were identified in industrial-grade TBBPA chemicals by using high-performance liquid chromatography coupled ion trap mass spectrometry and high-resolution mass spectrometry with a suspect screening strategy. The possible formation pathways of these byproducts were attributed to the bromination, debromination, methylation, demethylation, hydroxylation, substitution, and radical coupling reactions of bisphenol A (BPA), BPA impurities, and TBBPA.

Beyond conventional, complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor technologies, imaging sensors integrated with near- or in-sensor computing architectures emerge as a promising solution. In this study, the multi-scale van der Waals (vdWs) interactions in 1D tellurium (Te) atomic chains are explored, leading to the deposition of a photothermoelectric (PTE) Te nanomesh on a polymeric polyimide substrate.

The transcriptome associated with platelet function is significantly upregulated in RPs, which is a possible explanation for RPs intrinsic hyper-reactivity. We presented a comprehensive overview of the detection techniques for RPs.

Method: We performed a comprehensive search for peer-reviewed English-language articles using PubMed and Web of Science. The selected articles were subsequently clustered and analyzed textually, with a focus on lexical co-occurrences, country-level and inter-author collaborations, and other relevant factors.
Objective: Sarcopenia, common among older adults, is associated with adverse health outcomes. This study explores the relationship between estimated pulse wave velocity (ePWV), a marker of arterial stiffness, and sarcopenia to support the early diagnosis and prevention strategies.
Methods: Using data from two waves (2011 and 2015) of the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS), we conducted a nationally representative cohort study.
Background: Epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (EHE) is an ultra-rare vascular sarcoma with an extremely low incidence and prevalence, particularly in children. We report the case of a 9-year-old girl diagnosed with EHE. There are limited reconstruction methods available following total talus resection for vascular endothelioma of the talus, and the use of a 3D-printed talus prosthesis in pediatric cases has not been previously documented.

Here, using a mouse-adapted SARS-CoV-2 virus (SARS2-N501Y) and a mouse model of COVID-19, we identify significant serologic and pulmonary complement activation post-infection. We observed C3 activation in airway and alveolar epithelia, and pulmonary vascular endothelia.
