Objective: To evaluate the homogeneity of hepatic parenchyma enhancement in magnetic resonance imaging during splenoportography (MRSP) in the portal phase.
Methods: MRSP was performed in 16 patients suspected of space-occupying lesions in the livers. The signal intensity of non-lesion abnormal perfusion areas and that of peripheral parenchyma were measured in all the scanning phases including unenhanced phase, portographic phase, equilibrium phase, and delayed phase.

The west plain region of Jilin province of northeast China is one of the typical endemic fluorosis areas caused by drinking water for many years. Investigations of hydrogeological and ecoenvironmental conditions as well as endemic fluorosis were conducted in 1998. Results show that the ground water, especially, the water in the unconfined aquifer is the main source of drinking water for local residents.

In this thesis, based on field sampling and indoor integrated analysis with GIS technology, the impact of lead pollution in the atmosphere, dust, soil on the children was explored systemically. Results showed that, Lead exposure in environment was widely distributed and Lead pollution was serious in Shenyang city. The spatial variations of Lead, with four high content centers in the soil, dust and atmosphere, were distinct in all the environmental media.

Methods: The MR images of 13 cases of intracranial ependymomas confirmed by pathological examinations were investigated retrospectively.
Results: In the 10 cases of ventricle ependymomas, the tumors were identified in the fourth ventricle in 3 cases and in the lateral ventricle in 7 cases.

Objective: To assess the value of four T(1)-weighted (T(1)W) gradient-recalled-echo (GRE) sequences in MnDPDP-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for diagnosing primary hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
Methods: T(1)W images of fast low-angle shot (FLASH), fat-suppressed (FS) FLASH, in-phase and opposed-phase (IP/OP) FLASH were obtained from 13 HCC patients before and 30 min after the patients were given 5 micromol/kg.b.

Six cultivars including strong, middle and weak gluten wheat varieties were cultivated at five latitudes(from 32 degrees N to 36 degrees N) in Henan Province, and the variations of their qualitative characters were analyzed in relation to the different environments. The result indicated that latitudes had great effects on the protein content, wet gluten content, softening degree, evaluation value, and extensibility of the cultivars. The rheological parameters measured by farinogram and the extensogram were significantly different among different among different cultivars, and the coefficients of variation were quite large.

N2O concentration and its flux were measured in Sanjiang Plain wetland, from August to September in 2001, by using in situ closed chamber technique. The results showed that the mean N2O concentration above the ground was 281.7 x 10(-9) m3/m3, lower than the atmospheric N2O background, indicating the wetland maybe one of the important N2O sinks which scientists hadn't pay much attention to in the past.

The element contents of biofilms and suspended particulates in the natural aquatic ecosystem were studied, and the samples were collected in Kunming Lake of the Summer Palace in July and October 1999. The biofilm samples were observed through microscope and scanning electron microscope. Various inhabitants such as sessile bacteria, algae, and protozoa existed in the biofilms.

Objective: To study the value of computed tomography (CT) in the diagnosis of traumatic injuries in the bronchus and lung.
Method: A retrospective analysis was conducted of the CT and X-ray radiographic images of the bronchus and lung in 36 cases of traumatic injuries in the chest.
Results: Based on CT manifestations, the lung injuries of the 37 cases fell into 3 categories, namely mild, moderate and severe injuries.

Objective: To evaluate the diagnostic value of superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO)-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for hepatic focal solid lesions.
Methods: SPIO (Feridex)-enhanced MRI examination was performed in 28 cases of hepatic space-occupying lesions defined by CT or MRI or other methods. In post-contrast enhanced examination, the signal intensity and contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR) were measured in lesions and normal hepatic parenchyma in T2-weighted images (T2WI) and were compared with those in pre-contrast enhanced MRI.

Objective: To evaluate the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) features characterizing embryonal tumors in the spinal canal.
Methods: Retrospective analyses of the MR images were conducted in 6 patients with surgically and pathologically confirmed embryonal tumors in the spinal canal.
Results: Epidermoid cysts in 3 cases displayed a variety of non-characteristic signal intensity patterns on T1- and T2-weighted images (T1WI and T2WI).

Objective: To investigate the value of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the diagnosis of intracranial germinoma.
Methods: A retrospective analysis of the MRI features was conducted in 19 cases of pathologically confirmed intracranial germinoma.
Results: The lesion was located in the sellar region in 10 cases, in the pineal region in 6 and in the thalamus and basal ganglia in 3.
Objective: To elucidate the working principles of three-dimensional dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance angiography(3D DCE-MRA)and assess its value in the diagnosis of lesions in the major abdominal blood vessels.
Methods: The imaging data of 3D DCE-MRA and conventional MR examination in 32 cases of suspected major abdominal blood vessel diseases were obtained and analyzed retrospectively.
Results: The peak flow of contrast agents through the abdominal aorta at the level of renal artery occurred 17 to 23 s after the injections.
Through batch equilibrium experiments under the conditions of temperature 25 degrees C, pH values of 2.7, 5.3 and 6.

AIM:To introduce computed tomography during percutaneous splenoportography (CTSP), a new method for determining hepatic diseases.METHODS:Ten hybrid dogs and 20 patients with primary hepatic cancer (PHC) were included in the study. Each dog was examined by CT, CTAP (computed tomography during arterial portography) and CTSP to compare the enhanced degrees of the liver.
