Objective: To observe the dynamic changes of the proportions of T cytotoxic type 1 (Tc1) cells and T cytotoxic type 2 (Tc2) cells and analyze the correlation of them with the dynamic changes of the proportions of Th1 and Th2 cells in T lymphocytes respectively at different stages after Schistosoma japonicum infection.
Method: Splenocytes were prepared from spleens of mice with S. japonicum infection at different stages (0, 3, 5, 8, 13 weeks), and the proportions of Tc1, Tc2 and Th1, Th2 cells in T cells were determined by FACS, respectively.

Thin metal films are good candidates of terahertz detectors, reflectors, waveguides and terahertz quantum-cascade lasers (THz-QCLs). The optical parameter is the basis not only for designing the THz components but also for developing novel optoelectronic materials. In the present paper, the complex refractive indices of the ultra-thin metal (Cr, Ni and Ti) films in the THz band were obtained by the THz differential time-domain spectroscopy.

Highly ordered silver nanopore and nanocap arrays, which were used as surface-enhanced Raman scattering active (SERS-active) substrates, were fabricated by electron-beam evaporating silver on the surface of porous layer and barrier layer of porous anodic alumina (PAA) membranes, respectively. The SERS characteristics of the SERS-active substrates were tested with bladder cancer cells as molecular probe. The results indicated that both the SERS-active substrates displayed a strong SERS enhancement effect.

The electronic structure calculations reveal that the two key parameters for the control of electron transfer, reorganization energy and electronic coupling, are similar for these two isomerization systems, and the charge carriers essentially display one-dimensional transport properties. The mobilities are then calculated by using the time-dependent wavepacket diffusion approach in which the dynamic fluctuations of the electronic couplings are incorporated via their correlation functions obtained from molecular dynamics simulations.

The high-density consensus map was constructed based on the GY14 × PI 183967 map from an inter-subspecific cross and the extended S94 × S06 map from an intra-subspecific cross. The consensus map was composed of 1,369 loci, including 1,152 SSR loci, 192 SRAP loci, 21 SCAR loci and one STS locus as well as three gene loci of fruit external quality traits in seven chromosomes, and spanned 700.5 cM, of which 682.

This study explored the spatial pattern of heavy metals in Beijing agricultural soils using Moran's I statistic of spatial autocorrelation. The global Moran's I result showed that the spatial dependence of Cr, Ni, Zn, and Hg changed with different spatial weight matrixes, and they had significant and positive global spatial correlations based on distance weight. The spatial dependence of the four metals was scale-dependent on distance, but these scale effects existed within a threshold distance of 13 km, 32 km, 50 km, and 29 km, respectively for Cr, Ni, Zn, and Hg.

The voltage-gated Na(+) channel is the most important ion channel of neurons, and is essential for regenerative action potential (AP). The Na(+) channel also contributes to many diseases of the brain.

Sixty-four rats evenly composed of males and females were randomly assigned into 4 groups (n = 8): normal saline (NS) + NS (N + N), NS + LWDH (N + L), D-gal + NS (D + N) and D-gal + LWDH (D + L) groups. Rats in D + N and D + L groups received daily injection of D-gal (100 mg/kg, s.

Methods: The sepsis and ACS rats (n = 72) were randomized divided into two groups. One group used closed management (n = 36), the other accepted the open abdomen management (n = 36).
The neuroprotective effects of Jatrorrhizine from Coptidis Rhizoma against hydrogen peroxide (H(2)O(2))-induced rat pheochromocytoma line PC12 injury and its potential mechanisms were evaluated in the present study. When cells were exposed to H(2)O(2) (200 μM) for 12h, there was a significant reduction in cell survival and activity of antioxidant enzyme (SOD and HO-1) and LDH release. In addition, increased ROS production, declined MMP and increased production of malondialdehyde (MDA) were observed.

Toll like receptor (TLR) can specifically recgnize pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) and is considered as an important link between innate and adaptive immunity. It has been shown that TLR plays an important role in the pathogenesis and pathophysiology of a variety of skin diseases. Moreover, TLR agonists have exhibited promising therapeutic effects on the disease models and are expected to be novel vaccine adjuvants.
