Cobalt carbonate hydroxide hydrate (CCHH) has long been functioning merely as a precursor to prepare compound catalysts; however, its intrinsic potential for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is quite limited due to its poor catalytic activity. Herein, a concept has been proposed to solve this issue by doping Fe into CCHH nanowires grown on nickel foam (denoted as Fe-CCHH/NF) for achieving efficient OER catalysis by electrochemical transformation. The obtained Fe-CCHH/NF-30 exhibits OER catalytic performance with an overpotential of only 200 mV versus the reversible hydrogen electrode (vs.

Design And Methods: The parents of 157 children with epilepsy were assessed using the shortened Chinese version of the Family Resilience Assessment Scale (FRAS-SC) to measure the resilience level of families of children with epilepsy. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) was used to determine the sleep quality of the subjects.

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a kind of malignant hematological disease with high mortality. Patients 5-year survival rate is less than 25% and that of elderly patients is lower than 10%. Although the standardized chemotherapy or hematopoetic stem cell transplantation can significantly improve the therapeutic efficacy for AML, but disease recurrence is still a difficult problem in most patients.

However, clinical studies on EPIC1 in breast cancer, specifically in the neoadjuvant setting, are relatively few.
Methods: Patients treated with weekly paclitaxel-cisplatin-based neoadjuvant chemotherapy after core-needle biopsy were included in the study.
Background: Necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) is one of the most severe complications in very preterm infants, but there are currently no accepted methods to prevent NEC. Studies have shown that erythropoietin (EPO) has the potential to prevent NEC or improve outcomes of preterm NEC. This study aimed to determine whether recombinant human EPO (rhEPO) could protect against NEC in very preterm infants.

Fifteen large dairy farms in twelve major milk-producing provinces of China were enrolled in the study for approximately one year; 1,153 mastitis milk samples were collected and processed. The most frequently isolated pathogens were Staphylococcus spp.

Two reviewers independently selected English-language studies that included data on the incidence of cerebral palsy in asphyxiated neonates ≥35 weeks' gestation. Studies were searched from the Embase, Google Scholar, PubMed, and Cochrane Library databases up to 31 December 2019, and the references in the retrieved articles were screened.

Most of the previous studies that aimed to understand the mechanisms underlying anticancer saponins have focused on numerous classical signaling pathways. However, at the oncogene level, little is known about the action of saponins, especially asterosaponin.

Because of the poor therapeutic effect of surgery and radiochemotherapy, glioblastoma has a high recurrence rate and lethality, and is one of the most challenging tumors in the field of oncology. Ethyl pyruvate (EP), a stable lipophilic pyruvic acid derivative, has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, immunomodulatory and other cellular protective effects.

Methods: Survival and clinicopathological analyses were done in a cohort of 80 patients with NSCLC.
G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), a large superfamily of transmembrane (TM) proteins, allosterically transduce the signal of ligand binding in the extracellular (EC) domain to couple to effector proteins in the intracellular (IC) domain, therefore forming the largest class of drug targets. The A adenosine receptor (AAR), a class-A GPCR, has been extensively studied as it offers numerous possibilities for therapeutic applications. However, the mechanism of allosteric communication between EC and IC domains is not completely clear.

Here we analysed an Escherichia coli collection isolated from pigs and chickens in China in 2018, and ascertained that the tet(X4) gene was not present at high prevalence across China, but was highly endemic in northwestern China. Genomic analysis of tet(X4)-positive E.

Recently, we described the key features of a previously unrecognized, but widely conserved class of prokaryotic sensory system that we refer to as the LytTR Regulatory System (LRS). Our previous studies suggest that most, if not all, prokaryotic LRS membrane proteins serve as inhibitors of their cognate transcription regulators, but the inhibitory mechanisms employed have thus far remained a mystery.

Unfortunately, the survival benefit of the patients receiving this treatment is modest, which may be attributed to drug resistance. In the present study, sphingosine kinase 2 (SphK2) was targeted to reverse regorafenib resistance in HCC.

Body-integrated sensors, including skin-mounted and surgically implanted ones, allow personalized health monitoring for the general population as well as patients. However, the development of such measuring devices has been hindered by the strict requirements for human-biocompatible materials and the need for high performance sensors; most existing devices or sensors do not meet all the desired specifications.

Bovine enterovirus (BEV) has a broad host range with low virulence and is a good candidate as a viral vaccine vector. In this study, we explored new insertion sites for the expression of exogenous genes in BEV, and developed a recombinant infectious cDNA clone for BEV BJ101 strain expressing BVDV E0 protein.

Methods: According to the first FPG value recorded between January 2006 and December 2017, individuals without T2DM (FPG <7 mmol/L) were divided into three groups: normal fasting glucose (NFG, FPG < 5.6 mmol/L), slightly impaired fasting glucose (IFG, 5.
The rechargeable aluminum-ion battery (AIB) is a promising candidate for next-generation high-performance batteries, but its cathode materials require more development to improve their capacity and cycling life. We have demonstrated the growth of MoSe three-dimensional helical nanorod arrays on a polyimide substrate by the deposition of Mo helical nanorod arrays followed by a low-temperature plasma-assisted selenization process to form novel cathodes for AIBs. The binder-free 3D MoSe-based AIB shows a high specific capacity of 753 mAh g at a current density of 0.

The establishment of the feeding site, the syncytium, involves secretion of effectors into the plant cell to combat the plant defense response and facilitate transformation of root cells into the syncytium. Despite the important predicted roles of effectors in the plant-pathogen interactions, the functionality of effectors is largely unknown.
