Objective: Considering the high incidence and complexity of unstable posterior pelvic ring fractures, and the need for less invasive and more effective treatment options, this study aims to introduce a novel minimally invasive, safe, and simple internal fixation method for the treatment of unstable posterior pelvic ring fractures using the sacroiliac joint locking plate (SJP) system, and to provide biomechanical validation and clinical evaluation of this method.
Methods: Biomechanical research was conducted using standard pelvic bone models from Synbone, Switzerland, to create Denis II zone unstable posterior pelvic ring fracture models, and to assess the stability of the SJP under different loads compared with traditional fixation methods. A retrospective clinical study analyzed the clinical efficacy of SJP treatment in 62 patients (mean age of 51.
The incidence of cervical cancer caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) infection has increased in recent years. More than half of all cervical cancer cases are due to HPV16 and HPV18 infection, so HPV16 and HPV18 testing is essential to prevent cervical cancer. HPV testing is mainly carried out in hospitals, but it is subject to time and specialized medical facilities.

The practical application of lithium metal anodes is significantly impeded by poor interfacial stability and uncontrolled dendrite growth. Herein, we introduce methyl trifluoroacetate (MTFA), a low-melting-point small molecule, as an electrolyte additive in an ether-based electrolyte. This additive facilitates the formation of an in situ composite solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) layer that is rich in LiF and features an ester-based flexible matrix.

Exposure of metals to neutron irradiation results in an increase in the yield strength and a significant loss of ductility. Irradiation hardening is also closely related to the fracture toughness temperature shift or the ductile-to-brittle transition temperature (DBTT) shift in alloys with a body-centered cubic (bcc) crystal structure. Ion irradiation is an indispensable tool in the study of the radiation effects of materials for nuclear energy systems.

Pleural effusion in patients with WM has many causes, such as infection, tumor invasion of the pleura, and rupture of the thoracic duct or its branches. Patients with WM presenting to the respiratory department with chest tightness and shortness of breath need more differential diagnosis by respiratory physicians, which is helpful for effective treatment.

However, current gel electrolytes still perform at mediocre levels due to incomplete Zn salts dissociation and side reactions. Herein, an electrostatic-induced dual-salt strategy is proposed to upgrade gel electrolytes to tackle intrinsic issues of Zn metal anodes.

Past studies have shown that Huaier can arrest the cell cycle, promote apoptosis and inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells. However, how it regulates the metabolism of HCC is still unclear.

Data on the evolution of irradiation swelling in 15-15Ti steels at very high doses, which cannot be easily achieved by neutron irradiation, are still lacking. In this paper, the swelling behavior of the titanium-modified austenitic stainless steel 15-15Ti was investigated by pre-implantation of He at room temperature followed by Ni-ion irradiation at 580 °C to peak doses of 120, 240 and 400 dpa.

OPNAs are rapidly hydrolyzed to the methyl phosphonates (MPs) in the environment, which can be used as environmental traceability marker for OPNAs. Herein, magnetic mesoporous materials combined with real-time mass spectrometry (MS) were used to achieve high-throughput detection of MPs.

Setting And Participants: This study was based on the monitoring data of chronic disease risk factors in Dongguan residents from 2016 to 2018. The multistage cluster random sampling method was adopted at each monitoring site, and 4157 people were finally selected.
Carbamate nerve agents (CMNAs) are a type of lethal cholinesterase inhibitor with one or more quaternary amine centres and aromatic rings. CMNAs have been recently added to the Annex on Chemicals of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) and Schedules of Controlled Chemicals of China. In this study, a rapid, sensitive and selective method was developed for the fluorescence detection of ambenonium chloride (AC) through host-guest and electrostatic dual interactions between AC and cyclodextrin/11-mercaptoundecanoic acid (CD/MUA) dually functionalized gold nanoclusters (AuNCs).

Methods: Totally 120 patients who underwent cardiac surgery and were admitted to the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit of Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital between July and Oclober, 2022 were allocated to the LE group, the conventional respiratory training (CRT) group, and the control group by a random number table at a ratio of 1:1:1; 40 patients in each group. All patients received routine treatment and cardiac rehabilitation.
Adenomyosis has been associated with adverse fertility and pregnancy outcomes, and its impact on the outcomes of in vitro fertilization (IVF) has received much attention. It is controversial whether the freeze-all strategy is better than fresh embryo transfer (ET) in women with adenomyosis. Women with adenomyosis were enrolled in this retrospective study from January 2018 to December 2021 and were divided into two groups: freeze-all ( = 98) and fresh ET ( = 91).

Genetic testing is important in the diagnosis, clinical management, and prevention of AIS (MIM# 300,068). The AR (HGNC: 644) pathogenic variant detection rate ranges from 65% to 95% for patients with complete AIS (CAIS) and 40%-45% for patients with partial androgen insensitivity syndrome (PAIS).

The biomedical model, which limits itself to finding the attributions of organic disease, is challenged by gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms. Simultaneously, physicians' attribution of GI symptoms to underlying psychological issues is not readily accepted by patients and can negatively affect the clinical rapport between doctor and patient. In reality, psychosocial aspects are involved in many functional disorders and organic diseases, not just in mental disorders.

The structure of a back propagation neural network was optimized by a particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm, and a back propagation neural network model based on a PSO algorithm was constructed. By comparison with a general back propagation neural network and logistic regression, the fitting performance and prediction performance of the PSO algorithm is discussed. Furthermore, based on the back propagation neural network optimized by the PSO algorithm, the risk factors related to hypertension were further explored through the mean influence value algorithm to construct a risk prediction model.

Dimethylarginine dimethylaminohydrolase 1 (DDAH1) mainly degrades asymmetric dimethylarginine (ADMA), an endogenous nitric oxide synthase inhibitor. Emerging evidence suggested that plasma ADMA is accumulated in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). However, ADMA-DDAH1 involvement in PCOS pathogenesis is unclear.

In this study, we propose a chemiluminescence sensor array that can effectively discriminate organophosphorus nerve agents by organophosphorus-HO reaction, which produces peroxyphosphonate intermediate and regulates the chemiluminescence intensity. A simple chemiluminescence sensor array based on different chemiluminescence characteristics of the four organophosphorus nerve agents in the luminol-HO system and layered double hydroxide-luminol-HO system has been constructed.
