This study investigated the impact of Hypericum attenuatum Choisy extract (HYG) on immunological function and the cecum microflora in broilers. A total of 240 one-day-old AA broilers were randomly divided into 5 groups with 6 replicates of 8 broilers each: 1) the CN group, in which broilers were injected with saline and fed a basal diet; 2) the PC group, in which broilers were injected with lipolyaccharide (LPS) and fed a basal diet; 3) the HYG1 group, in which broilers were injected with LPS and fed a 400 mg/kg HYG-supplemented diet; 4) the HYG2 group, in which broilers were injected with LPS and fed a 800 mg/kg HYG-supplemented diet; 5) the HYG3 group, in which broilers were injected with LPS and fed a 1,200 mg/kg HYG-supplemented diet. To explore the differences between the hypericum in the Changbai Mountains, we carried out a transcriptome analysis of two common hypericums in the area, which was Choisy and Oliv. We screened the genes to analyze divergence time and evolutionary selection expression, and determine their expression levels. The results showed that we detected 9287 differentially expressed genes in the two species, of which shared 6044 genes by the two species.

To explore the accumulation of rutin, hyperoside and quercetin in Hypericum attenuatum Choisy under treatment with different plant growth regulators, 100 mg/L, 200 mg/L and 300 mg/L cycocel, 100 mg/L, 200 mg/L and 300 mg/L mepiquat chloride and 1 mg/L, 2 mg/L and 3 mg/L naphthalene acetic acid were foliage sprayed on Hypericum attenuatum Choisy plants at the early growth stage. We sampled and determined the important flavonoid contents at the flowering stage. The results showed that the three plant growth regulators had different effects on the accumulation of rutin, hyperoside and quercetin in the leaves, stems and flowers of Hypericum attenuatum Choisy at the flowering stage.

The effects of inulin supplementation in the diet of laying hens on the antioxidant capacity of refrigerated (0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks) eggs were evaluated. Three hundred commercial laying hens were divided into five treatment groups and fed diets with supplements of 0 (control), 5, 10, 15 or 20 g/kg inulin.
