Zinc-air batteries (ZABs) are highly promising for flexible electronics due to their high energy density and cost-effective. However, their practical application is impeded by the sluggish kinetics of the oxygen evolution and oxygen reduction reactions (OER/ORR). This study presents a novel design featuring BaO nanoparticles anchored on layered perovskite PrBaMnCoO (PBMC) nanofibers, fabricated through a plasma method.

Rice protein (RP) molecules tend to aggregate, limiting their functional properties and posing a significant challenge to the intensive processing of rice products. This study explored the interaction between soybean 7S globulin (7S) and rice glutelin (RG) to improve the structure and properties of RP. The results show that the tertiary structure of the RG-7S co-assemblies undergoes a certain degree of extension, increases the α-helix content, and reduces the β-sheet content in the secondary structure.

Background: Transcatheter left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) is an alternative to lifelong anticoagulation, but optimal patient selection remains challenging.

Objectives: This study sought to apply a novel causal machine learning framework to identify patients who would benefit from LAAO vs a direct oral anticoagulant (DOAC).

Methods: We identified 744,190 adult patients with atrial fibrillation treated with either LAAO or DOAC between March 13, 2015, and December 31, 2019, using data from OptumLabs Data Warehouse.

Objective: A stable isotope dilution-through solid phase extraction(SPE)-ultra-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(UPLC-MS/MS) method was established for rapid determination of diazepam and its three metabolites(nordiazepam, temazepam and oxazepam) in fish.

Methods: Sample was extracted with acetonitrile, then salted out with sodium chloride and degreased by freezing centrifugation. The acetonitrile layer diluted to a ratio of 90 percents with pure water, and through C_(18)/PSA SPE column for purification.

In order to enhance the precision of UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) landings and realize the convenient and rapid deployment of the model to the mobile terminal, this study proposes a Land-YOLO lightweight UAV-guided landing algorithm based on the YOLOv8 n model. Firstly, GhostConv replaces standard convolutions in the backbone network, leveraging existing feature maps to create additional "ghost" feature maps via low-cost linear transformations, thereby lightening the network structure. Additionally, the CSP structure of the neck network is enhanced by incorporating the PartialConv structure.

In order to solve the issues arising from collisions, this paper proposes a network flow method combined with skeleton information for multiple tracking. In the intra-track stage, non-colliding are identified and associated as trajectory fragments based on their motion and positional information, and colliding are then segmented based on an improved skeleton algorithm and matched as trajectory fragments. Subsequently, the trajectory fragments are employed as vertices to construct a network flow model.

Plant cells utilize protein oligomerization for their functions in numerous important cellular processes. Protein-protein interactions are necessary to stabilize, optimize, and activate enzymes, as well as localize proteins to specific organelles and membranes. Glycosyltransferases-enzymes that attach sugars to polysaccharides, proteins, lipids, and RNA-across multiple plant biosynthetic processes have been demonstrated to interact with one another.

Eel () is an important and valuable food fish in East Asia and its by-products have been reported to include bioactive and profitable components. This study aimed to extract, characterise, and compare the structure and properties of acid-soluble collagens (ASCs) and pepsin-soluble collagens (PSCs) from the skin and bone of eel (), providing insights into their composition, structure, and properties for various applications. The yields of ASC-S (from skin), PSC-S (from skin), ASC-B (from bone), and PSC-B (from bone) were 12.

Lacticaseibacillus casei (JS-2) is a novel probiotic isolated from "Jiangshui", a kind of traditional folk fermented food, which has a significant effect on hyperuricemia (HUA). In vitro experimental results showed that JS-2 has a high degradation ability and selectivity for uric acid (UA). The animal test results indicated that after two weeks of treatment, JS-2 could significantly reduce the level of UA in the serum of HUA quails ( < 0.

Cytoplasmic male sterility (CMS) and dominant genic male sterility (DGMS) both result in the inability to produce or release functional pollen, making them pivotal systems in the hybridization breeding programs of crops such as cabbage ( var. ). However, the underling molecular mechanisms are still largely unexplored.

Epidemiologic characteristics of melanoma in older adolescents and young adult (AYA) patients aged 15 to 39 years are unknown. We examined the epidemiologic characteristics of melanoma in AYA patients and then extracted demographic and pathologic data for this retrospective cohort study from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database (2000-2019). Cox regression analyses were used to assess the risk of all-cause death, cancer-specific death, and second primary malignancy.
