The intentional manipulation of carrier characteristics serves as a fundamental principle underlying various energy-related and optoelectronic semiconductor technologies. However, achieving switchable and reversible control of the polarity within a single material to design optimized devices remains a significant challenge. Herein, we successfully achieved dramatic reversible p-n switching during the semiconductor‒semiconductor phase transition in BiI via pressure, accompanied by a substantial improvement in their photoelectric properties.

Long-term AP typically induces other cardiovascular events, including myocardial infarction and heart failure, posing a serious threat to patient safety. However, AP's complex pathological mechanisms and developmental processes introduce significant challenges in the rapid diagnosis and accurate treatment of its different subtypes, including stable angina pectoris (SAP), unstable angina pectoris (UAP), and variant angina pectoris (VAP).

This study aimed to evaluate the clinical utility of tumor abnormal protein (TAP), Prothrombin induced by vitamin K absence-II (PIVKA-II), and alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) in diagnosing HCC as well as to investigate their prognostic significance in patients with HCC undergoing transarterial chemoembolization.
Methods: A total of 93 HCC patients were enrolled and 101 healthy individuals served as controls.
Background: Retinoblastoma (RB), an aggressive intraocular malignancy, significantly adds to the global disease burden in early childhood. This study offers insights into the global burden of retinoblastoma (RB) in children aged 0-9 years, examining incidence, mortality, and DALYs from 1990 to 2021, across age, sex, location, and SDI levels. It aims to inform health policy, resource allocation, and RB combat strategies.

Background: In the filed of antiviral therapy, effective therapeutic concentration is beneficial to shorten the recovery time of patients and reduce the transmission rate. The aim of this study is to retrospectively analyze the factors that lead to the drug concentration of Nirmatrelvir /Ritonavir (NMV/RTV) not reaching the standard.
Methods: In this study, the NMV/RTV drug concentration(Cnmv/rtv) data (n = 114) of COVID-19 patients over 18 years old were collected from May 2022 to July 2022, and the results of the patients were retrospectively compared.
The pathogenesis of breast cancer is still unclear. Small RNAs associated with extracellular vesicles (EVs) have been found to be involved in tumor development. It is important to explore the role of EVs small RNAs in breast cancer.

After the epidemic was loosened in early December 2022, the normal medical order gradually restored in China. How much was the impact on the admission and treatment of emergency trauma patients during and after the epidemic? This study aims to compare the differences between trauma patients admitted to the emergency department during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, the differences in geography, cultivation, and management techniques and production processes lead to uneven qualities of southern Shaanxi congou black tea in different production areas. This study used sensory analysis combined with gas chromatography-ion mobility spectrometry (GC-IMS) to determine southern Shaanxi congou black teas' geographical origin and volatile fingerprints to prevent economic losses caused by fraudulent labeling.

Unexpectedly, recent studies show that the cGAS-STING noncanonically activates the protein kinase RNA-like ER kinase (PERK)-eukaryotic initiation factor 2α (eIF2α), an essential branch of unfolded protein response (UPR), even before the activation of the TBK1/IRF3 signaling. Additionally, we found that the PERK could regulate the STING signaling besides being modulated by upstream cGAS-STING.

The hyperactive Wnt/β-catenin signaling circuit has been proven to be closely related to the progression of various cancers, with β-catenin serving as a central regulator of pro-tumorigenic processes. Preclinical evidences strongly support β-catenin as a promising therapeutic target. However, it has long been considered "undruggable" due to challenges such as the lack of crystal structures for its N- and C-terminal domains, high mutation rates, and limited availability of inhibitors.

Carbapenem-resistant are increasingly recognized for their role in various infections, necessitating rapid and accurate detection methods. This study aimed to evaluate several phenotypic tests, including the Carba NP test (CNPt), Carba NP-direct test (CNPd), and Blue-Carba test (BCT), for their effectiveness in rapidly detecting carbapenemase production in .

In this paper, a rapid onsite measurement method and evaluation model for the value and direction angle of the perpendicularity error of the thrust surface and bearing bush in hydrostatic thrust bearings are presented. The method is validated by comparing experimental measurements with those obtained using a CMM.

However, CORO1A is typically considered "undruggable" due to its smooth surface and complex protein-protein interactions (PPIs). Molecular glues have emerged as one of the most effective strategies to rapidly degrade such "undruggable" targets.

However, microbiome data present a number of statistical challenges not addressed by existing methods, such as the varying sequencing depth, the compositionality, and zero inflation. Solutions like scaling and transformation methods help to mitigate heterogeneity and release constraints, but often introduce biases and yield inconsistent results on the same data.

Osteoporosis (OP) is a common and fracture-prone skeletal disease characterized by deteriorated trabecular microstructure and pathologically involving various forms of regulated bone cell death. However, the exact role, cellular nature and regulatory mechanisms of ferroptosis in OP are not fully understood. Here, we reported that OP femurs from ovariectomized (Ovx) mice exhibited pronounced iron deposition, ferroptosis, and transcriptional suppression of a key anti-ferroptotic factor GPX4 (glutathione peroxidase 4).
