Osteochondral repair poses a significant challenge due to its unique pathological mechanisms and complex repair processes, particularly in bacterial tissue conditions resulting from open injuries, infections, and surgical contamination. This study proposed a novel development mode combining boundary sealing and hot water injection to address the challenges of gas leakage, limited reservoir sensible heat, boundary water intrusion, and low productivity faced by challenging hydrate extraction, and the stimulation effect was numerically investigated with Shenhu hydrates as the geological background. The results showed that lower boundary permeability facilitated pressure propagation and achieved volumetric dissociation of hydrates, whereas insufficient formation energy resulted in substantial gas retention. Hot water injection was effective for stimulation, but open boundaries could not maintain the high injection pressure, leading to massive hot water losses and gas escapes.

The geographical variation and domestication of tree species are an important part of the theory of forest introduction, and the tracing of the germplasm is the theoretical basis for the establishment of high-quality plantations. Chinese pine ( Carr) is an important native timber tree species widely distributed in northern China, but it is unclear exactly where germplasm of the main Chinese pine plantation populations originated. Here, using two mtDNA markers, we analyzed 796 individuals representing 35 populations (matR marker), and 873 individuals representing 38 populations (nad5-1 marker) of the major natural and artificial populations in northern China, respectively (Shanxi, Hebei and Liaoning provinces).

Acetic acid modified montmorillonite (HCl-MMT), sodium dodecyl sulfonate modified montmorillonite (SDS-MMT), and chitosan modified montmorillonite (CTS-MMT) were prepared by inorganic modification and organic modification, and the porous MMT/CA composite fiber membrane was constructed by centrifugal spinning equipment. Iron-based crystalline porous materials (CPMs) emerged as a new class of biodegradable and non-toxic materials of high interest for drug delivery systems (DDSs) due to their high loading capacity and controllable structures. This work constructed two kinds of Fe-CPM coordination polymers (CPM-83 and CPM-85) from typical oxo-centered trimers of the iron octahedra cluster [FeO(RCOO)(TPT)] with two functional modules. The tri-topic pyridine ligand (TPT) occupied the open metal sites of the trinuclear cluster, precluding the attachment of neutralizing anions, leading to three-dimensional frameworks with a positive charge and higher stability.

A new type of Janus cellulose acetate (CA) fiber membrane was used to separate oil-water emulsions, which was prepared with plasma gas phase grafting by polymerizing octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4) onto a CA fiber membrane prepared by centrifugal spinning. The Janus-CA fiber membrane was described in terms of chemical structure using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) analysis and morphology by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). In this contribution, we examine the influence of spinning solution concentration, spinning speed and nozzle aperture on the centrifugal spinning process and the fiber morphology.

Nanomaterials, as carriers of small molecular drugs, have been a focal point in recent years. In this work, a carbazolyl functionalized metal-organic framework, UiO-67-CDC, was successfully synthesized employing the ligand 9H-carbazole-2,7-dicarboxylic acid (9H-2,7-CDC). Postsynthetic approaches targeted the cationization and replacement of the Lewis base carbazole site with two methyl groups, resulting in the positively charged skeleton, which has proven to be a promising carrier for the anticancer drug 5-fluorouracil (5-Fu).

Herein, we reported 3 cases of angiosarcoma (AS) of the head and neck in old patients, and the etiology, pathogenesis, histopathology, immunohistochemistry, diagnosis, differential diagnosis and prognosis were discussion. Case 1, a male patient aged 86 years old was admitted due to purplish erythema on the head and face and progressive purplish edema in the orbit of the eye for 3 years. He was misdiagnosed with connective tissue disease in another hospital, and a second biopsy and histopathological examination confirmed the AS of the head and neck.

Fucoxanthin, a potent carotenoid present in various natural sources especially from seaweeds; it exhibits several biological effects like anti-neoplastic, anti-mutagenic, anti-diabetic, anti-obesity and anti-inflammatory actions. Fucoxanthin role in chemoprevention of lung cancer in mouse model induced using benzo(a)pyrene [B(a)P] has been presented here. Oral administration of fucoxanthin with and without B(a)P were studied, the results from our study shows that fucoxanthin significantly decreased tumor progression in mice exposed to B(a)P, the obtained data were correlated with increased antioxidant, apoptosis and decreased tumour marker and anti-apoptotic molecules.

Multipoint hydrogen bonded motifs with intermolecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds have been theoretically studied at the PBE0-D3/ma-def2-TZVP level. The properties of electron density at the bond critical points of hydrogen bonds have been analyzed through "atoms in molecule" (AIM) theory and "electron localization function" (ELF) method. The results imply that the secondary electrostatic interactions have a significant effect to the strength of multipoint hydrogen bonds.
