This study aimed to explore the molecular characteristics of neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) in chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP). Differentially expressed gene analysis, weighted gene co-expression network analysis, and machine learning algorithms identified three core NETs-associated genes: CXCR4, CYBB, and PTAFR, which were significantly upregulated in CRSwNP patients. The diagnostic performance of these genes was evaluated using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves, and their clinical relevance was validated using multicenter data.

The reflux finding score (RFS) and Reflux Symptom Index (RSI) are widely used diagnostic tools for LPR, but they often show poor concordance. It remains unclear whether patients with discordant RFS and RSI scores (one positive, one negative) have a higher risk of developing voice disorders, and whether proton pump inhibitor (PPI) therapy can improve voice quality in this subgroup.

Within the last decade, in addition to water desalination, capacitive deionization (CDI) has been used for the resource recovery and selective separation of target ions in multicomponent solutions. CDI is a new technology for selectively extracting valuable metal ions from solutions using an electric field and electrode materials. Unlike traditional adsorption methods, it raises attention for its environmentally friendly process and low cost, especially for extracting valuable elements.

Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the effects of fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) on post-diet weight regain and to investigate the underlying mechanisms by which FMT inhibits weight regain.
The purpose of this study was to recognise predictive biomarkers and explore the promising therapeutic targets of AD with depression. We confirmed a positive correlation between AD and depression through MR Analysis. Through WGCNA analysis, we identified 1569 genes containing two modules, which were most related to AD.

As the heart consists of cardiomyocytes, cardiac fibroblasts, endothelial cells, smooth muscle cells, and several types of cells, different types of dysfunction in the interplay between organelles play an important damaging role, resulting in cardiac pathologies. The interplay between cellular organelles is intricate and vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis, as highlighted by multiple diseases linked to the dysfunction of both organelles.

This study developed scaffolds using natural tussah silk fibroin (TSF) cross-linked with regenerated silk fibroin (SF) nanofibers to improve mechanical properties and wet-state stability. Zinc oxide (ZnO) and polydopamine (PDA) composite nanoparticles were loaded into scaffold to impart its antibacterial and photothermal properties to construct a photo-responsive composite scaffold (ZnO/PDA/TSF-SF).

Methods: We conducted an integrated analysis of the genome-wide landscape of CNV and exome-wide rare variation associations with RA in the UK Biobank. To strengthen our findings, we corroborated the results by the differentially expressed genes identified from gene expression profiles of synovial tissue of RA patients and health controls.
Background: In-depth exploration into the dysregulation of lipid metabolism in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has contributed to the development of advanced antitumor strategies. CRSP8 is a critical component of mediator multiprotein complex involved in transcriptional recruiting. However, the regulatory mechanisms of CRSP8 on fatty acid metabolism reprogramming and HCC progression remain unclear.

We conducted a drug-targeted MR analysis using data from large-scale genome-wide association studies and eQTL datasets. SNPs near drug target genes served as instrumental variables to investigate the impact of antihypertensive (angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors [ACEIs], ARBs) and lipid-lowering drugs (HMGCR inhibitors, proprotein convertase subtilisin/Kexin type 9 [PCSK9] inhibitors, Niemann-Pick C1-like 1 inhibitors) on inflammatory cytokines.

The accuracy of this measurement depends on rapid dissolution of the drug into the molten polymer during the DSC heating scan. A preferred method of accelerating this dissolution process is to preblend the drug and polymer by cryo-milling.
