Variability of the Microbiota in Chronic Rhinosinusitis: A Scoping Review.

Objective: Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) is characterized by a persistent inflammation of the nasal and paranasal sinus mucosa that could be potentially linked to a dysregulation between the microbiota and the immune system. We aim to explore general, methodological, and microbiological aspects of microbiota research in CRS compared to disease-free individuals.

Data Sources: Embase, Ovid MEDLINE, PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science.

Medication use in pediatric patients with covid-19 hospitalized in a referral hospital in Lima, Peru, 2020 - 2022.

Motivation for the study. Therapeutic guidelines for COVID-19 in children changed constantly during the pandemic. In Peru, the variation of the treatment during the different waves of the pandemic has not been studied.

Adaptation and altitude sickness: A 40-year bibliometric analysis and collaborative networks.

Introduction: We analyze the scientific production and collaboration networks of studies based on adaptation and altitude diseases in the period 1980-2020.

Methods: The publications were extracted from journals indexed in Scopus. The bibliometric analysis was used to analyze the scientific production, including the number of annual publications, the documents, and the characteristics of the publications.

Adherence to Mediterranean diet associated with health-related quality of life in children and adolescents: a systematic review.

Background: Health-related quality of life (HRQoL) has become a significant outcome in assessing interventions in the pediatric population and could be influenced by diet patterns. The Mediterranean diet (MD) pattern has been related to multiple positive health outcomes, including decreased cardiovascular risk and better mental health. We aimed to evaluate the association between MD adherence and HRQoL in children and adolescents.
