Objective: Chronic methamphetamine use is frequently associated with impairments in the attentional network (alerting, orienting, conflict networks) and related brain regions, which significantly trigger METH-related cravings. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of moderate-intensity acute aerobic exercise on cravings and attentional networks in individuals with methamphetamine use disorders (MUD).
Methods: Using a cross-over design, this study recruited 32 male MUDs to randomly complete a 30min moderate-intensity aerobics exercise condition (65%-75% HRmax) and an assigned material reading control condition, with a 7-day washout interval.
Background: The interaction and combined effect of the triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index, an alternative parameter of insulin resistance, along with hypertension (HT), on the risk of peripheral arterial disease (PAD), a specific type of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, in individuals with type 2 diabetes (T2D) seems straightforward. However, specific research on this topic remains scarce.
Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 2027 adult participants with T2D were devided into four groups based on the mean values of TyG index and various blood pressure parameters along with its category.
Background: The reallocation of health resources, epidemic prevention and control measures during the COVID-19 pandemic triggered widespread restricted health service utilization, some residents and patients tried positive self-care behavior to maintain their health, yet the efficacy of this intervention remains unclear.
Object: Based on the reasoned action approach (RAA) theory, this study aimed to investigate the correlation between self-care behavior and restricted health service utilization among adults in China, trying to discover the vulnerable groups and external and intrinsic factors that affect self-care behavior among Chinese adults.
Methods: Data on demographics, socioeconomic, health status, and self-care behavior were collected in "The Early China COVID-19 Survey," a cross-sectional anonymous online survey of the general population in China.
Objectives: We evaluated the long-term effects of air pollution controls on health and health inequity among Chinese >45 years of age.
Methods: Data were derived from the China Health Aging and Retirement Longitudinal Survey and the China National Environmental Monitoring Centre. Decreases in PM and PM were scaled to measure air quality controls.
Immune checkpoint blockade has led to breakthroughs in the treatment of advanced gastric cancer. However, the prominent heterogeneity in gastric cancer, notably the heterogeneity of the tumor microenvironment, highlights the idea that the antitumor response is a reflection of multifactorial interactions. Through transcriptomic analysis and dynamic plasma sample analysis, we identified a metabolic "face-off" mechanism within the tumor microenvironment, as shown by the dual prognostic significance of nicotinamide metabolism.

The results for spring, summer, and autumn of 2019 indicated that Pb, Cd, and Zn posed no adverse ecological risk, Cu posed a potential ecological risk, and As posed an ecological risk. The annual results from 2011 to 2019 suggested that Pb, Cd, and Zn posed no adverse ecological risks, and As and Cu posed an ecological risk.

We investigated seafloor litter patterns in the Pearl River Estuary and adjacent coastal waters of China in 2023 via bottom trawl survey. Average number and weight densities were found to be 154.

As resistance evolves, tumor cells may acquire a new drug susceptibility profile, profoundly impacting the subsequent treatment selection and patient survival. However, the interplay between trastuzumab and other types of drugs in HER2-positive GC remains elusive.

Information about the disease is limited. Here we employed single-cell RNA sequencing to investigate peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), aiming to unravel the immune response of patients toward HAGC.

Methods: Data were obtained from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS) in 2018, 8,342 adults were included in our analysis. Propensity score matching method was used to compare the risk of catastrophic health expenditures between the hypertension patients (treatment group) and those without any chronic disease (control group) in middle-aged and older adults.
Background: Bone marrow metastasis (BMM) is underestimated in gastric cancer (GC). GC with BMM frequently complicate critical hematological abnormalities like diffused intravascular coagulation and microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, which constitute a highly aggressive GC (HAGC) subtype. HAGC present a very poor prognosis with peculiar clinical and pathological features when compared with not otherwise specified advanced GC (NAGC).

Methods: Between Jan 2017 and Dec 2021, we conducted a nationwide longitudinal study using routinely collected data on health services utilization in the National Health Information System of China.
Gastric cancer with bone marrow metastasis and disseminated intravascular coagulation constitutes a highly aggressive gastric cancer subtype which presents a peculiar biological behavior and very poor prognosis. Retrospective studies have shown chemotherapy could prolong survival, but a prospective trial is still unavailable. This study is the first prospective clinical trial to evaluate the safety and efficacy of chemotherapy for advanced gastric cancer patients with bone marrow metastasis.

In the Chinese context, studying subjective and relative poverty is more important under the implementation of the Targeted Poverty Alleviation campaign. This study aims to provide evidence of the relationship between the duration of subjective poverty and both physical and mental health among Chinese adults, using nationally longitudinal data from 2010 to 2018.

Previous reports have revealed that primary gastrointestinal-DLBCL (pGI-DLBCL) harbors different genetic mutations from other nodal or extranodal DLBCL. However, the exonic mutation profile of pGI-DLBCL has not been fully addressed.

Despite this, reports on gastrointestinal-Natural Killer/T-cell lymphoma (GI-NKTCL) are very few. To obtain a better understanding of this manifestation of NKTCL, we conducted a retrospective study on GI-NKTCL to analyze its clinical features, genomic changes and immune infiltration.

In this study, we have developed a novel hybrid tri-modality system that includes two molecular imaging methods: positron emission computed tomography (PET) and fluorescence molecular imaging (FMI) and the anatomic imaging modality X-ray computed tomography (CT). The following paper describes the system development.

We surveyed 20 sites across three regions (Daya Bay, Dapeng Bay, Wanshan Islands) in GBA to provide an updated baseline of these urban coral communities. Live coral cover varied substantially, with the lowest values (<2 %) found inside the highly urbanized Daya Bay, and highest values (40-47 %) from offshore islands that are less affected by human activities.

We aimed to evaluate the influence of genetic polymorphism on the pharmacokinetics of TAC in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and develop limited sampling strategy (LSS) models to estimate the area under the curve (AUC) in the PBMC of Chinese renal transplant patients.
Methods: Ten blood samples of each of the 23 renal transplant patients were collected 0-12h after 14 (10-18) days of TAC administration.
Background: Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are one type of RNAs with many different functions. circRNAs are very crucial in human malignancy progression. However, few studies have investigated the function and exact mechanism of circRNAs in neuroblastoma.
