The aim of this work is to describe a case of necrotising enteritis as a first presentation of a systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The patient has undergone two laparatomies with resection of a part of the small intestine because of a clinically relevant intestinal obstruction. Distended intestinal loops, inflammed serosa and mesenterial lymphadentis have been found during the operations.

The object of the work is to demonstrate by means of retrospective analysis the occurrence of deafness in a female patient with ulcerative colitis, appearing in early childhood with underestimated clinical signs and confirmed after clinical manifestation of autoimmune hepatitis. The notion of deafness as an autoimmune phenomenon in ulcerous colitis could allow its timely treatment, restoration and preservation of hearing.
