In this study, nanoparticles based on bovine serum albumin (BSA) containing amphotericin B (AmB) were obtained by the desolvation method and characterized with respect to size, size distribution, AmB encapsulation efficiency, AmB state of aggregation, and AmB in vitro release profile. After, the effect of nanoparticles on the cytotoxicity of human erythrocytes in vitro and efficacy over strains of Candida spp. were evaluated.

Several of those regulatory frameworks put emphasis on "the history of use", "traditional food", or "general recognition of safety". Authoritative lists of microorganisms with a documented use in food have therefore come into high demand.

The physiological behaviour of Pseudomonas fluorescens strain R2fN was compared to that of transconjugants [R2fN(RP4)], and two aggregation phenotypes were identified (Agr- and Agr+). Agr+ phenotype is characterized by the appearance of macroscopic aggregates when cells are growing in liquid media. Transconjugants exhibited Agr+ phenotype whereas wild type strain represented Agr-.

Together with a potential regulator (EbdR), six putative enzymes (EbdAaAbAcAdBC) were identified, and they exhibited highly significant similarities with enzymes implicated in the equivalent pathway in P. putida RE204.
