Purpose: This head-to-head comparison study aimed to compare the performance of [Ga]Ga-FAPI-RGD (LNC1007) and 2-[F]FDG PET/CT in the evaluation of patients with metastatic differentiated thyroid cancer (mDTC).

Methods: Ten unexplained hyperthyroglobulinemia (UHTg) patients and 20 patients with definite metastatic lesions of thyroid cancer (DmDTC) were enrolled in the study. All patients underwent both [Ga]Ga-LNC1007 and 2-[F]FDG PET/CT within 1 week.

A 53-year-old man with newly diagnosed nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) underwent 99m Tc-MDP bone scintigraphy for the potential bone metastases, and paired 68 Ga-DOTATATE and 68 Ga-FAPI PET/CT for initial staging. 68 Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT identified 2 abnormal foci with increased tracer uptake in the cervical vertebra and the ilium, whereas 68 Ga-FAPI PET/CT and bone scan detected only the ilium lesion. A subsequent biopsy confirmed NPC metastasis in the ilium.

Article Synopsis
  • - The study aimed to find the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and evaluate the safety and effectiveness of [Lu]Lu-LNC1003 in patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC), involving 13 patients and a dose escalation protocol.
  • - The results showed that the MTD was determined to be 1.85 GBq, with doses reaching up to 2.59 GBq causing dose-limiting myelosuppression, while patients experienced a decline in PSA levels after treatment cycles.
  • - Overall, [Lu]Lu-LNC1003 was well tolerated at doses of 1.11 and 1.85 GBq per cycle, but careful monitoring of radiation doses to red
