Method: In this cross-sectional study, healthcare professionals (n = 495) working in four hospitals of Ankara completed a sociodemographic questionnaire and two self-report scales: the Attitudes Toward Obese Persons Scale and the Beliefs About Obese Persons Scale. Data were collected during May, 2018.
Objectives: The aim of this case-control study was to evaluate the physical activity levels of patients with fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS) and to assess a possible relation between physical activity and FMS characteristics.

Aim: To evaluate the impact of the COVID-19 lockdown on adolescents with eating disorders (ED) and identify factors predicting ED behaviour.
Method: This study took place during an age-stratified lockdown for those under 20 years in Turkey. The purpose of this case series was to evaluate menstrual suppression in sex assigned at birth female adolescents identifying as male or gender non-conforming. A retrospective chart review of four gender minority youth (GMY), age 14-17, was performed for gender identity history, type and success of menstrual suppression, method satisfaction, side effects and improvement in menstrual distress. Menstrual suppression was successful in three patients, one patient discontinued use due to side effects that caused an increase in gender dysphoria.

Background: Obesity mediates a series of operations in the body by increasing the production of proinflammatory cytokines. Cytokines play an important role in the development of non-thyroidal illness syndrome (NTIS).
Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the association between obesity and NTIS.
The current left ventricular assist devices (LVADs) are limited by a highly invasive implantation procedure in a severely unstable group of advanced heart failure patients. Additionally, the current transcutaneous power drive line acts as a nidus for infection resulting in significant morbidity and mortality. In an effort to decrease this invasiveness and eliminate drive line complications, we have conceived a wireless miniaturized percutaneous LVAD, capable of being delivered endovascularly with a tether-free operation.

The aim of this study was to examine clinical outcomes, psychiatric comorbidity and neuropsychological characteristics in Turkish adolescents with an attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) diagnosis in childhood. A total of 45 children with ADHD diagnosis and 28 children with a psychiatric diagnosis other than ADHD in a 1-year cohort of 7-10-year-olds were reevaluated 6 years later using Schedule for Affective Disorders and Schizophrenia for School-Age Children Present and Lifetime version and Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Revised and Stroop Test TBAG version. This study shows that the clinical outcomes and the comorbidity patterns for ADHD from childhood to adolescence in Turkey are similar to reported rates in the Western countries.

Anxiety, depression, negative self, hostility, and Global Severity Index points were significantly higher in adolescents in the orphanage, although they did not reach pathological levels except with respect to hostility. Adolescents reared in orphanages scored high points for hostility, reaching pathological levels.
