Objective: While the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has generally resulted in milder illness among children than adults, persistent respiratory symptoms have been increasingly reported in this population.

Methods: We conducted a prospective, single-center cohort study focusing on children experiencing prolonged respiratory symptoms after contracting COVID-19. Spirometry, 6- minute walk tests (6MWTs), and tests of lung volume, the diffusing capacity of the lungs for carbon monoxide (DLCO), and fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) were performed on COVID-19 survivors at least 4 weeks after infection and a group of healthy control subjects.

Hypereosinophilic syndrome is a heterogeneous disease characterized by eosinophilic tissue inflammation and eosinophilia. Pulmonary involvement could be seen in up to 55% among children with hypereosinophilic syndrome. Background: We aimed to determine the number of cystic fibrosis (CF) patients recorded in the Cystic Fibrosis Registry of Türkiye (CFRT) who were in need of lung transplantation (LT) referral and examine clinical differences between patients who were LT candidates due to rapid forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV₁) decline and LT candidates without rapid FEV₁ decline in the last year to identify a preventable cause in patients with such rapid FEV₁ decline.

Methods: All CF patients recorded in the CFRT in 2018 were evaluated in terms of LT. Patients were divided into those with FEV₁ below 50% and in need of LT due to a decrease of 20% or more in the previous year (Group 1) and those who did not have FEV₁ decline of more than 20% in the previous year but had other indications for LT (Group 2).

Objective: This study was aimed to investigate the complications arising during follow-up and the reasons for hospitalization in pediatric patients who were operated on for esophageal atresia (EA) and tracheoesophageal fistula (TEF).

Materials And Methods: Between 2007 and 2019, all patients operated for EA and TEF were evaluated in terms of age, gender, age at diagnosis, post-op, and complications in follow-up.

Results: In the study, 28 of 50 patients were operated on for EA and TEF, 14 for isolated EA, and 8 for isolated TEF.

Objective: To investigate whether partial arterial carbon dioxide pressure (PaCO ) level in arterial blood gas analysis that was used to predict nocturnal hypoventilation (NH) is concordant with nocturnal end-tidal CO (PetCO ) measurement obtained by a noninvasive method of oxycapnography in children with neuromuscular disease (NMD).
