Introduction: In 1948, the indirect ophthalmoscope revealed full intra-ocular retinoblastoma, documented on paper with coloured pencils. At SickKids, eCancerCare (eCC) digital drawings and timeline have facilitated patient care, education, and research.
Methods: Each child's eCC timeline shows treatments and dates.
Mucormycosis is a rare but serious opportunistic fungal disease characterized by rhino-orbito-cerebral and pulmonary involvement. It is mainly seen in people with secondary immunosuppression, isolated vitamin A deficiency, measles, and AIDS patients. It showed a rise during the second wave of the COVID-19 epidemic in the spring of 2021 in India, especially in diabetic COVID-19 patients.

Methods: VD and FAZ area in the deep and superficial retinal vascular networks were measured in all eyes.
Results: Thirty BD and 31 control subjects were included in the study.
Background: Red reflex screening is the primary but unheeded test for the detection of vision- and life-threatening eye conditions.
Aims: To evaluate the red reflex of newborns, percentage of ocular diseases resulting in red reflex abnormality, and their relation with consanguinity in Southeast Turkey.
Methods: Newborns (n = 1358) were examined with pencil light and direct ophthalmoscopy.

Background And Objective: To evaluate enhanced depth imaging optical coherence tomography (EDI-OCT) features of choroidal hemangioma and changes following photodynamic therapy (PDT).
Patients And Methods: Retrospective review of 21 choroidal hemangiomas.
Results: On EDI-OCT, choroidal hemangioma showed low internal reflectivity in 47% of lesions and high internal reflectivity in 53%.
Purpose: To compare the retina ganglion cell complex (GCC) layer and peripapillary nerve fibre layer thickness (pRNFL) in patients with prediabetes and healthy subjects analysed by spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT).
Methods: This cross-sectional and comparative study included prediabetic patients and healthy subjects. All participants underwent SD-OCT measurement of pRNFL thickness, and GCC thickness.
Purpose: To compare the efficacy of the fixed combination of brimonidine-timolol (FCBT) and the fixed combination of brinzolamide-timolol (FCBZT) treatments for elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) after phacoemulsification cataract surgery.
Methods: A randomised, prospective, double-blinded study was conducted on 277 eyes of 257 patients who underwent phacoemulsification cataract surgery. Patients were divided into three groups based on the medication administered after cataract surgery as follows: FCBT, FCBZT and a control group where no antiglaucoma medications were used.
The purpose of this study is to examine the capability of photoacoustic (PA) imaging (PAI) in assessing the unique molecular and architectural features in ocular tumors. A real-time PA and ultrasonography (US) parallel imaging system based on a research US platform was developed to examine retinoblastoma in mice in vivo and human retinoblastoma and uveal melanoma ex vivo. PA signals were generated by optical illumination at 720, 750, 800, 850, 900 and 950 nm delivered through a fiber optical bundle.

However, the ocular effects of acromegaly have yet to be investigated in detail. The aim of the present study was to compare retina ganglion cell/inner plexiform layer (GCIPL) and peripapillary nerve fiber layer thickness (pRNFL) between patients with acromegaly and healthy control subjects using spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT).

A total of 17 pregnant patients who were clinically and serologically diagnosed with ocular toxoplasmosis were retrospectively reviewed. After birth, ocular findings for all infants were recorded.

Methods: Forty-three newborns born by vaginal delivery (VD) and 30 newborns born by cesarean section (CS) were evaluated. IOP and CCT were measured using Tono-Pen and handheld pachymeter, respectively, at both the 5th minute after delivery and at the 12th h of life.
Objective: To determine the prognostic factors affecting stereoacuity in patients with refractive accommodative esotropia (RAE) according to the results of long follow- up period.
Methods: We reviewed the charts of 70 patients with RAE between the years 1985-2014. Patients were classified into three groups.
Purpose: To evaluate the knowledge and behaviors of ophthalmologists in Turkey concerning micronutrition support in patients with age related macular degeneration (ARMD).
Methods: This study involved 1,845 ophthalmologists. A scientific poll was sent to all participants by email.
Purpose: We reported on the clinical approaches of ophthalmology and otorhinolaryngology departments in the treatment of the orbital complications of sinusitis. We also included an in-depth literature review. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the medical files of 51 patients from January 2008 to January 2014.

Specifically, we analyzed the inner and outer segment junction (IS/OS line) integrity and the effect of disturbed IS/OS line integrity on visual acuity.
Methods: Patient files and OCT images of OB patients who had been followed-up between January and June of the year 2013 at the Dicle University Eye Clinic were evaluated retrospectively.
Background: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the etiologic and prognostic factors of open eye injuries in geriatric patients in the Southeastern region of Anatolia.
Methods: Forty-five geriatric patients who underwent surgery for an open eye injury in our clinic between the years of 2008 and 2012 were evaluated retrospectively. Age, gender, cause and the mechanism of the trauma, visual acuity (VA), and the time between the trauma and the surgery were obtained from files and evaluated.
Purpose: To measure and investigate visual functioning and health-related quality of life (QOL) in patients after ocular penetrating injuries (OPI).
Methods: Fifty-four adult patients with OPI and 26 healthy control subjects were enrolled in the study. The National Eye Institute Visual Functioning Questionnaire (NEI VFQ-25) and the 36-Item Short Form Health Survey (SF 36) were administered.
Purpose: To analyze the risk factors, outcomes, demographic characteristics, and attitudes of workers with metallic corneal foreign body (FB) injury.
Methods: One hundred consecutive patients who presented with a metallic corneal FB to the eye clinic at Diyarbakir Training and Research Hospital were evaluated. The patients completed a questionnaire and were examined to determine features of the injury.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the debonding strength of laminate veneers after using erbium-doped: yttrium aluminium garnet (Er:YAG) laser.
Materials And Methods: A total of 60 bovine mandibular incisor teeth were divided into two groups (n = 30). Cylindrical specimens (0.
In this study, the authors aimed to evaluate ocular blood flow changes in Behçet disease (BD) with and without thrombotic disease. Ninety eyes of 90 patients with a diagnosis of BD (30 eyes with active uveitis, 23 eyes with inactive uveitis, 25 eyes without ocular involvement, and 12 eyes without ocular involvement and with a history of thrombosis) and 30 eyes of 30 age- and sex-matched control patients without any systemic disease with a total of 120 eyes were evaluated. In all cases, ophthalmic, central retinal, and ciliary artery flow parameters were measured with colour Doppler ultrasonography (CDU).

In this study, we assessed anterior segment parameters of the healthy rabbit eyes with Pentacam HR (Oculus, Wetzlar, Germany).
Methods: Six-month-old, approximately 2.
Objective: To determine whether mean platelet volume (MPV) is an indicator of disease severity in ocular Behçet's Disease (BD).
