The study investigated how entecavir (ETV) interacts with bovine serum albumin (BSA) using multispectral techniques and molecular docking.
ETV binding to BSA resulted in significant fluorescence quenching, confirming a stable complex influenced by interactions like hydrophobic forces and hydrogen bonds.
The analysis showed that ETV primarily binds to site I of BSA, with binding strength indicated by a moderate binding constant value of 1.47 × 10-4 to 0.×10 M.
