Familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) is a monogenic autoinflammatory disorder with recurrent fever, abdominal pain, serositis, articular manifestations, erysipelas-like erythema, and renal complications as its main features. Caused by the mutations in the MEditerranean FeVer (MEFV) gene, it mainly affects people of Mediterranean descent with a higher incidence in the Turkish, Jewish, Arabic, and Armenian populations. Identifying a hypercoagulable state in patients with COVID-19 may help identify those at risk for virus-induced thromboembolic events and improve clinical outcomes using personalized therapeutic approaches. Herein, we aimed to perform a global assessment of the patients' hemostatic system with COVID-19 using rotational thromboelastometry (ROTEM) and to describe whether patients with different disease severities present different coagulation profiles. Together with 37 healthy volunteers, a total of 65 patients were included and then classified as having mild, moderate, and severe disease depending on clinical severity.
