Global burden and trends of testicular cancer in adolescents and young adults from 1990 to 2021, with predictions to 2035.

Testicular cancer predominantly affects adolescents and young adults (AYAs) aged 15-39 years. This study analyzed the global, regional, and national burden of testicular cancer among AYAs (1990 to 2021). Data from the Global Burden of Disease study was used to calculate age-standardized rates of incidence (ASIR), prevalence (ASPR), and disability-adjusted life years (ASDR).

Two new sesquiterpene eudesmanolides from the Raeusch.

Two new sesquiterpene eudesmanolides, 5-hydroxy-eudesman-7(11)-en-8(12)-olide (), and 5-hydroxy-7(11)-en-8-oxo-eudesmane (), along with six known sesquiterpene eudesmanolides, were isolated from the leaves and twigs of Raeusch. The structures of these compounds were established basis on NMR and MS spectroscopic analyses. The cytotoxic activities of the isolated compounds were evaluated.

Water-Based Additive-Free Chromic Inks for Printing of Flexible Photochromics and Electrochromics.

Digital inkjet printing has become one of the most convenient and efficient technologies for coating chromic materials on flexible substrates with complicated patterns. However, the development of water-based, additive-free chromic inks for inkjet printing still remains a challenge. Herein, three ammonium-functionalized colorless viologen derivatives , , and with excellent water solubilities are utilized as chromes in the chromic inks due to their excellent photochromic and electrochromic properties.

ALDH1A1 in Cancers: Bidirectional Function, Drug Resistance, and Regulatory Mechanism.

Aldehyde dehydrogenases 1 family member A1(ALDH1A1) gene codes a cytoplasmic enzyme and shows vital physiological and pathophysiological functions in many areas. ALDH1A1 plays important roles in various diseases, especially in cancers. We reviewed and summarized representative correlative studies and found that ALDH1A1 could induce cancers the maintenance of cancer stem cell properties, modification of metabolism, promotion of DNA repair.

Breast cancer is the most frequent female cancer and one of the leading causes of cancer death in women. There are many chemotherapy agents available for the treatment of breast cancer. Still, the current therapeutic options have not fulfilled the desired outcomes, especially for drug-resistant breast cancer therapy.

Colorectal cancer with invasive micropapillary components (IMPCs) shows high lymph node metastasis and a poor prognosis: A retrospective clinical study.

Objects: The present study aimed to identify the clinicopathological characteristics of colorectal cancer (CRC) with invasive micropapillary components (IMPCs) and the relationship between different amounts of micropapillary components and lymph node metastasis.

Methods: A cohort of 363 patients with CRC who underwent surgical treatment in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine between January 2013 and December 2016 were retrospectively reviewed. We compared the clinicopathological characteristics, including survival outcomes and immunohistochemical profiles (EMA, MUC1, MLH1, MSH2, MSH6, and PMS2), between CRC with IMPCs and those with conventional adenocarcinoma (named non-IMPCs in this study).
