Genetic polymorphisms of non-coding RNAs associated with increased head and neck cancer susceptibility: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Genetic polymorphisms, including single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) and nucleotide repeat expansions, can occur in regions that transcribe non-coding RNAs (ncRNA), such as, but not limited to, micro RNA and long non-coding RNA. An association between genetic polymorphisms of ncRNA and increasing head and neck cancer (HNC) risk has been identified by several studies. Therefore, the aim of this systematic review is to consolidate existing findings to clarify this association.

Secondary Alveolar Bone Grafting and Iliac Cancellous Bone Harvesting for Patients With Alveolar Cleft.

To assess the efficacy of present interventions optimizing the result of secondary alveolar bone grafting (SABG) and the interventions alleviating the donor site morbidity after iliac cancellous bone harvesting. Researches were identified by searching the electronic database of MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Chinese BioMedical Literature Database, and the China National Knowledge Infrastructure. In addition, relevant journals and references of the included studies were searched manually.

[Preliminary study of assessment of mental health level among oral tumor patients and difference of relevant material basis].

Objective: To investigate the difference in mental health status of oral tumor patients and their spouses, and explore the differences on the basis of relevant materials.

Methods: Forty patients with oral cancer, eighteen spouses, and thirty-five patients with oral benign tumor were diagnosed in the West China Hospital of Stomatology between December 2011 and August 2012 and assessed with symptom checklist-90 (SCL90) (the 5-grade scoring). Participants were assessed independently according to their conditions.
