Background: As one member of the Forkhead Box transcription factor, Forkhead Box J2 (FOXJ2) is involved in diverse cancers. At present, the specific role and mechanism of FOXJ2 in ovarian cancer (OC) have not been fully addressed, which allows us to fill the blank.

The effects of metformin on inflammation and apoptosis in rats with preeclampsia.

Background: Defined clinically by elevated blood pressure along with either proteinuria and/or maternal organ dysfunction, representing a major cause of morbidity and mortality pregnant women and newborns. Metformin (MET), an oral antidiabetic medication, has been shown to prevent preeclampsia (PE) through various mechanisms, including reducing inflammation, improving endothelial dysfunction, improving mitochondrial function, and altering cellular homeostasis and energy metabolism. Herein, we explored the role of MET in PE and its underlying molecular mechanisms using in in vivo experiments.

Circulating exosomal miR-125a-5p as a novel biomarker for cervical cancer.

Exosomal microRNAs (miRs/miRNAs) have been reported to be associated with cervical cancer. The aim of the present study was to investigate circulating exosomal miRNA as a biomarker for cervical cancer diagnosis. In the present study, samples from 6 patients with cervical cancer and 6 healthy control subjects were retrieved for exosomal RNA-sequencing.
