To successfully metastasize, cancer cells must evade detachment induced cell death, known as anoikis. Unraveling the mechanisms that gastric cancer (GC) circumvent anoikis and achieve peritoneal metastasis especially during unanchored growth, could significantly improve patient outcomes. Our study reveals that GC cells exhibit increased lipid peroxidation, MDA production, and cell death during suspension culture, which can be mitigated by the intervention with liproxstatin-1 and ferrostatin-1.

The mechanism of active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) mobility during release in microparticle formulation was investigated using periodically structured illumination combined with spatial Fourier transform fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FT-FRAP). FT-FRAP applies structured photobleaching across a given field of view, allowing for the monitoring of molecular mobility through the analysis of recovery patterns in the FT domain. Encoding molecular mobility in the FT domain offers several advantages, including improved signal-to-noise ratio, simplified mathematical calculations, reduced sampling requirements, compatibility with multiphoton microscopy for imaging API molecules within the formulations, and the ability to distinguish between exchange and diffusion processes.

Structure, stability, electronic structure, spectroscopy and chemical bonding properties of a fluorine atom doped gas-phase small to medium-sized magnesium clusters, FMg (n = 2-20), systematically investigated by CALYPSO software together with density functional theory (DFT). Structural calculations showed that FMg has a structural diversity which is rarely reported in other magnesium-based clusters before. The presence of label noise in the training data has a profound impact on the generalization of deep neural networks (DNNs). In this study, we introduce and theoretically demonstrate a simple feature noise (FN) method, which directly adds noise to the features of training data and can enhance the generalization of DNNs under label noise. Specifically, we conduct theoretical analyses to reveal that label noise leads to weakened DNN generalization by loosening the generalization bound, and FN results in better DNN generalization by imposing an upper bound on the mutual information between the model weights and the features, which constrains the generalization bound.
