This review examined roles of each receptor under normal physiology and in breast cancer, and explored their multifaceted interactions via signaling pathways, focusing on their contributions to breast cancer progression. Since defining the mechanism by which these two-receptor mediated signaling pathways cooperate is essential for understanding breast cancer progression, we discussed the mechanisms of cross-talk between RTKs and ER and PR and their potential therapeutic implications as well.

It is a leading cause of maternal mortality in both developed and developing countries. In order to prevent PE, the disease must be diagnosed at its earliest stage, however, the triads of high blood pressure, edema and albuminuria is neither specific nor sensitive enough for diagnosing the disease.

Background: Early posttraumatic seizure (PTS) is a well-known complication of traumatic brain injury (TBI) that can induce the development of secondary brain injuries, including increased intracranial pressure, brain death, and metabolic crisis which may result in worse outcomes. It is also a well-recognized risk factor for the development of late post-traumatic seizure and epilepsy. This study was aimed to assess the incidence and predictors of PTS among patients with moderate or severe TBI admitted to Debre Tabor Comprehensive Specialized Hospital, Northwest Ethiopia.

Background: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a non-communicable disease leading to a progressive decline in kidney functions and complications like liver disorders. Serum levels of liver parameters such as aminotransferases and bilirubin are important biomarkers for the diagnosis of liver diseases. Studies on the effect of CKD with and without end-stage renal disease (ESRD) on the levels of liver biomarkers in Ethiopia are limited.

Background: Peripheral intravenous cannulas (PIVC) are venous access devices commonly used for the administration of intravenous fluids, drugs, blood products, and parenteral nutrition. Despite its frequent use, it has complications that can seriously threaten patient safety, prolong hospital stays, and increases medical care costs. PIVC complications are associated with increased morbidity and reinsertion attempts are painful and anxiety-provoking for children and their parents.

Introduction: Coronavirus disease is a fatal viral disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2. This study was aimed to assess the attitude, level of COVID-19 vaccine uptake, and its determinants among patients with chronic diseases visiting Debre Tabor Comprehensive Specialized Hospital, Northwest Ethiopia.
Methods: An institutional-based cross-sectional study was conducted among 422 randomly selected patients with chronic disease visiting Debre Tabor Comprehensive Specialized Hospital from February 1 to March 30, 2022.
Introduction: The solvent fractions of the fruits of L. (Papaveraceae) have not yet been explored scientifically for in vivo wound healing and anti-inflammatory activities. The objective of this study was, therefore, to evaluate in vivo wound healing and anti-inflammatory activities of the solvent fractions of the fruit of L.

Background: Impaired fasting glucose (IFG) is an early warning system that provides prior information to prevent the future development of DM and diabetes-related problems, but early detection of DM is not practically applicable in Ethiopia. This study was aimed to assess the magnitude of impaired fasting glucose and undiagnosed diabetes mellitus (DM) and associated factors.
Methods: A community-based, cross-sectional study was conducted from May to June 30, 2021.
Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a worldwide health issue that can lead to a variety of complications. DM is a serious metabolic disorder that causes long-term microvascular and macro-vascular complications, as well as the failure of various organ systems. Diabetes-related cardiovascular diseases (CVD) including heart failure cause significant morbidity and mortality worldwide.

Introduction: Endurance running performance is dependent upon hematological, physiological, anthropometrical, diet, genetic, and training characteristics. Increased oxygen transport and efficiency of tissue in extracting oxygen are the major determinants to competitions that require endurance. Thus, altitude training is often employed to increase blood oxygen-carrying capacity to improve sea-level endurance performance.

Hence, advancing our understanding of the comprehensive entry mechanisms of SARS-CoV-2, especially the host factors that facilitate viral infection, is crucial for the discovery of effective vaccines and antiviral drugs. SARS-CoV-2 has previously been documented to reach cells by binding with ACE2 and CD147 receptors in host cells that interact with the spike (S) protein of SARS-CoV-2.
