EBE-YOLOv4: A lightweight detecting model for pine cones in forest.

Pine cones are important forest products, and the picking process is complex. Aiming at the multi-objective and dispersed characteristics of pine cones in the forest, a machine vision detection model (EBE-YOLOV4) is designed to solve the problems of many parameters and poor computing ability of the general YOLOv4, so as to realize rapid and accurate recognition of pine cones in the forest. Taking YOLOv4 as the basic framework, this method can realize a lightweight and accurate recognition model for pine cones in forest through optimized design of the backbone and the neck networks.

Extracellular vesicles of carcinoma-associated fibroblasts creates a pre-metastatic niche in the lung through activating fibroblasts.

Objectives: Carcinoma-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) have been known to promote cancer progression by modifying the primary tumor microenvironment. We aimed to elucidate the intercellular communication between CAFs and secondary organs in salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma (SACC) metastasis.

Methods: Pre-metastatic and metastatic animal models of SACC were established using extracellular vesicles (EVs) from CAFs and SACC cells.

[Mechanism of chloroquine in promoting sensitivity of chemotherapeutics in oral squamous cell carcinoma CAL-27 cell line to cisplatin].

Purpose: To study the role and mechanism of autophagy in chemotherapy of oral squamous cell carcinoma, and provide theoretical evidence to improve chemotherapeutic efficacy of oral squamous cell carcinoma patients.

Methods: The cell survival rate changes induced by cisplatin (DDP) and chloroquine (CQ) in CAL-27 cells were assayed by methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium method(MTT). The LC3-II expression level was detected by laser scanning confocal microscope; The apoptotic rate was determined by flow cytometry.

[Effect of TRAIL gene in human squamous cell carcinoma cell line induced by adenovirus].

Objective: To study the apoptotic effect on the squamous cell carcinoma cell line TCa83 induced by recombined adenovirus vector containing TRAIL gene and CMV promoter.

Methods: The TCa83 cell line was firstly infected with different titre of AdCMV-EGFP containing enhanced green fluorescence protein gene (EGFP) as control, and investigated the transducing rate through fluorescence to obtain the definite titre. Then TCa83 cell line was infected with AdCMV-TRAIL in proper titre, and TRAIL gene was detected by means of RT-PCR.
