In this paper, the road performance and mechanism of cement-phosphogypsum-red clay (CPRC) under dry and wet cycling were systematically investigated using 5% cement as curing agent, the mass ratio of phosphogypsum: red clay = 1:1, and 5% SCA-2 as water stabilizer. The road performance of dry and wet cycle mix was verified with the National Highway G210 Duyun Yangan to Yingshan Highway Reconstruction and Expansion Project as a test road to provide a scientific basis for the application of cement-phosphogypsum-red clay on roads. The results show that the cement-phosphogypsum-red clay unconfined compressive strength decreases with the increase of the number of wet and dry cycles, with a larger decay in the first three times and leveling off thereafter.

This study aimed to explore the relationship between CI and carotid plaque instability, as well as the potential differences between sexes in this context.
Methods: Our cross-sectional study included a total of 44,248 participants from the China Stroke High-risk Population Screening and Intervention Program (CSHPSIP), all of whom underwent carotid ultrasound for the evaluation of carotid plaque.
Background: The majority of robot-assisted total joint arthroplasties necessitate preoperative computed tomography (CT) scans. Incidental findings in these CT scans can introduce complexity into clinical treatment decisions. Consequently, this study sought to document the nature and frequency of incidental findings identified in preoperative CT imaging conducted for robot-assisted total joint arthroplasty, along with their impact on planned surgical procedures.

Purpose: The benefits of leisure-time physical activity (LTPA) in reducing mortality are well-known, while the relationship between work-related physical activity (WRPA) and mortality remains controversial. The study aimed to investigate the association between WRPA and mortality, and to determine whether LTPA should be recommended in a population with a high level of WRPA.
Method: Data were obtained from a sample of adults aged 20-80 years included in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) cohort from 2007 to 2018.
Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC-Na), derived from natural cellulose and frequently employed as a biocompatible coating, thus renders it an ideal component for the construction of highly biocompatible neuromorphic devices aimed at biomachine interfaces. Here, an array of Mo/CMC-Na/ITO neuromorphic devices is fabricated, with CMC-Na serving as the functional layer. The devices exhibit capabilities to emulate various synaptic learning rules and demonstrate high endurance performance among biomaterial-based electronics, achieving stability over 2 × 10 pulses.

Combining the robust Denoising Enhancement Network (DeNet), the Improved Sparrow Optimization Algorithm (SCSSA), the adept Mamba time-series model, and the proficient Dilated Convolution (DC), this model excels in precise noise handling and sophisticated feature extraction. DeNet diligently refines input data, mitigating noise interference, while Mamba skillfully captures sequential intricacies.

Specifically, we studied hydrogenated PG (h-PG), fluorinated PG (f-PG), and chlorinated PG (Cl-PG). We used the generalized gradient approximation (GGA) and the hybrid Heyd-Scuseria-Ernzerhof (HSE06) exchange-correlation functional in the DFT-based software VASP to capture electronic properties accurately.

This study aims to examine the association between UHR and bone mineral density (BMD), as well as the risk of osteoporosis, in individuals aged ≥50 years. This cross-sectional study used data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, focusing on participants aged ≥50 years.

This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of anlotinib in the treatment of TNBC patients with brain metastases.
Methods: Between October 2019 and April 2024, 29 TNBC patients with brain metastases who had failed prior therapy and were treated with anlotinib were retrospectively analyzed.
The epoxy nanocomposites reinforced by MoS nanosheets and aligned multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were fabricated by DC electric field inducement. The epoxy nanocomposites achieved improvement in the tribological properties with the addition of randomly dispersed MoS and MWCNTs compared to the pure epoxy. Furthermore, the epoxy nanocomposites exhibit anisotropic tribological and mechanical properties when the MWCNTs are aligned in the composites.

We found that the antibiotic-derived compound Isovalerylspiramycin I (ISP-I) has potent anti-tumor activity against SCLC cell lines H1048 and DMS53 both in vitro and in vivo. ISP-I induced apoptosis, G2/M phase cell cycle arrest, and mitochondrial respiratory chain dysfunction in both cell lines.

In this study, we investigated the mechanism by which viral infection induced this remodeling response. Through comparing different lung-injury models, we demonstrated that infection induced strong IFN-γ signal-stimulated dysplastic KRT5+ cell formation.

The aromatic character of borazine have basically reached a consensus after a long period of controversy, but the related properties of carborazine are even rarely reported. In this work, we systematically investigated the geometric structure, charge distribution, frontier molecular orbital characteristics, bonding, electronic delocalization, magnetic shielding effect, and induced ring current of carborazine and borazine, and compared the studied characteristics with those of benzene to determine the aromatic character of the two analogues.

Background: The formation of stem cell clones enables close contact of stem cells inside. The gap junctions in such clone spheres establish a microenvironment that allows frequent intercellular communication to maintain self-renewal and functions of stem cells. Nevertheless, the essential gap junction protein for molecular signaling in clones is poorly known.

In the realm of BTMS, Flat Heat Pipes (FHP) have garnered considerable attention due to their lightweight structure and excellent thermal conductivity. Thus, a BTMS configuration scheme based on FHP is proposed in this study.

The research results show that: (1) the absolute expansion and absolute shrinkage of phosphogypsum stabilized red clay are positively correlated with the compaction degree, the number of dry and wet cycles and the cement dosage, and negatively correlated with the initial water content and the phosphogypsum dosage; (2) the fissure rate increases with the increase of the number of dry and wet cycles, and decreases with the increase of the initial water content, the compaction degree, the cement, and the phosphogypsum dosage; (3) The relationship among absolute expansion rate (absolute shrinkage), degree of compaction and fracture rate can be fitted by the equation f(x,y) = ax+by+cx2+dy2+e; (4) Phosphogypsum has an obvious inhibiting effect on the expansion, shrinkage and cracking of the mix. It is recommended that the cement mixing amount of 6% and phosphogypsum: red clay = 1:1~1:2 as roadbed filler.

The binding energy between cyclocarbons and C fullerene is significantly stronger than that between two C or two C fullerenes, indicating a particularly strong affinity. The cyclocarbons and C fullerene can spontaneously assemble into complexes in the gas phase at room temperature, and the hydrophobic effect caused by the solvent environment can promote this binding.

Soil fungi can respond rapidly to environmental stresses, but the response of different grassland types to grazing control has not been uniformly determined. Three grassland types (temperate desert, temperate steppe grassland, and mountain meadow) that were closed for grazing exclusion for 9 years were used to study the effects of grazing exclusion on soil nutrients as well as fungal community structure in the three grassland types.

IHC staining can offer more accurate diagnostic details but it brings significant financial and time costs. Furthermore, either re-staining HE-stained slides or using adjacent slides for IHC may compromise the accuracy of pathological diagnosis due to information loss.
