[Twenty years long experience in the breast conserving treatment of women with preinvasive breast cancer. Evaluation of long term results and analysis of prognostic factors.].

Aim: The aim of the study was to analyze long term results and prognostic factors in women with preinvasive breast cancer (DCIS - ductal carcinoma in situ) who underwent breast conserving surgery with subsequent radiotherapy.

Materials And Methods: A total number of 106 patients was analyzed aged 29-78 years; mean age was 54,3 years and median 55 years. In 78 (73,5%) patients the tumor was diagnosed incidentally on mammography or ultrasound scan, 28 (26,5%) had palpable lesion.

Adrenal tumour bigger than 5 cm - what could it be? An analysis of 139 cases.

Introduction: There is an increasing number of adrenal being tumours discovered incidentally during imaging examinations performed for many different indications. Radiological findings suggesting adrenal pathology may be caused by true adrenal tumours or by other retroperitoneal masses. Generally, the larger the tumour, the higher the possibility of adrenal cancer.

[Assessment the efficacy of postoperative radiotherapy in the patients with non-small cell lung cancer. Retrospective study].

Introduction: The basic method of therapy of non-small cell lung cancer is surgery. For a number of years a discussion has gone concerning the indications for postoperative radiotherapy in the case of non-radical surgical treatment. At present, in many centers, the postoperative radiotherapy is recommended for patients with confirmed metastases to mediastinal lymph nodes (pN2) and in case of microscopic or macroscopic features of incomplete surgical margins.

Segmented photon beams technique for irradiation of postmastectomy patients.

Aim: To present the segmented photon beams technique (SPBT) for irradiation of postmastectomy patients.

Background: In majority of techniques for irradiation of posmastectomy patients, a few adjacent photon or electron beams were usually implemented in order to encompass different parts of the target. In the presented SPBT technique, the radiotherapy plan consists of 6 isocentric photon beams and the area CTV includes both the chest wall and the supraclavicular area.
