- A systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of intravenous magnesium sulfate (MgSO4) in reducing death and cerebral palsy in babies born to women at risk of preterm delivery.
- The analysis included 7 studies, which found that MgSO4 significantly lowered the incidence of fetal neurological impairment but did not significantly impact neonatal mortality rates.
- The researchers concluded that while MgSO4 may improve outcomes related to cerebral palsy, more studies are needed to confirm these findings and explore why mortality rates were unaffected.

Methods: Seventy-two female Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into six groups: control group, Sham-operated group, Glycyrrhiza (Gly) 30% group, and ovariectomized group as well as two ovariectomized groups treated with Gly 10% and Gly 30%.

Background: Adhesion bands are reported to be among the most common complications of gynecological surgery procedures. The aim of this study was to compare the frequency of post-surgical adhesion among patients with closed or open peritoneal repair in the subsequent cesarean sections.
Methods: A prospective randomized trial was performed on 45 patients who underwent cesarean section during a 5-year period.
Objectives: This study was undertaken to determine the prevalence of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and evaluate their effects on the mothers and fetuses at Jahrom, a city in southern Iran.
Methods: A retrospective survey was performed on 2300 pregnant women who had referred to Shahid Motahhari Hospital of Jahrom School of Medical Sciences from 22 September 2002 to 21 September 2003. Diagnosis of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and their probable complications were made according to medical recording files.
