[Abdomen Trauma From A Fall From A Height In Two University Teaching Hospital In Burkina Faso].

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to describe the nature and reasons for the fall, the injuries caused and their prognosis.

Patients And Methods: This was a descriptive cross-sectional study over a period of 9 years. Patients admitted for abdominal trauma from a fall from a height during the study period were included.

This 10-month prospective study, from July 2012 through May 2013 included all cases of community-acquired peritonitis who underwent surgery at our hospital and had a pus sample taken at that time.
