We present the results of application of cell cultures enriched with stem and progenitor cells for the treatment of experimental abdominal cryptorchism in outbred albino rats. Xenotransplantation of human fetal enriched cell cultures was performed to animals with experimental cryptorchism during orchiolysis. Total testosterone, luteinizing and follicle-stimulating hormones were assayed by immunochemiluminescent method.

The study of cell cultures enriched with stem and progenitor cells in the treatment of experimental hypergonadotropic hypogonadism was made on 30 white non-inbred rats with experimental cryptorchism who have undergone xenotransplantation of human fetal enriched cell cultures. Spermatogenic epithelium on histological sections was studied on day 14 and 28 after xenotransplantation with calculation of the spermatogenesis index. The fertility index was estimated for each of the groups.

We present a new method of obtaining a xenoculture enriched with Leydig cells from neonatal porcine testes providing 97-99% viability of cells in the culture. Genital extra-testicular transplantation of the obtained xenoculture was applied, which minimized traumaticity of surgery and the number of postoperative complications and had undoubted advantages over the subcapsular cell culture depot.

The interactions of model proteins with the templates of porous carriers in biosensors were analyzed in terms of events occurring during the molecular contact of biopolymers with a solid. The viscoelastic properties of casein and albumin at small widths of the layer of the solution applied to the crystal were estimated using the dynamic method of piezoqartz resonator. The experimental data on the viscoelastic characteristics of protein solutions of different concentrations were compared with the characteristics of their tangential motion in porous carriers from cellulose nitrate.

The study was undertaken to measure PAMG-1 (PP 12, IGEBP-1) that is insulin-like growth factor binding protein in blood sera of diabetic patients. We could show a stable significant (10-fold or more in 54% of patients) increase of PAMG-1 concentrations in patients suffering with insulin-dependent diabetes and a moderate (1.5-2 times) increase of PAMG-1 levels in 80% of patients suffering with non-insulin-dependent diabetes.

Five stable hybridomas against placental protein PAMG-1 were obtained. Monoclonal antibodies were not cross reactive with other placental proteins and human serum albumin. The content of PAMG-1 during a physiological pregnancy increased to 40 ng/ml.

Thymic gangliosides GM3 and GD3 and LacCer incorporated into the membrane of the tumor target cell leukemia (YAC) increase its sensitivity to the membrane toxic action of spleen effectors. Unlike thymic gangliosides GD3, ganglioside GD3 of the brain origin substantially reduces tumor cell sensitivity to spleen effectors. Some other brain glycosphingolipids differing essentially in the structure of the carbohydrate part of the molecule exert the same action.
