Two trinuclear oxo-centred iron(III) coordination compounds of monensic and salinomycinic acids (HL) were synthesized and their spectral properties were studied using physicochemical/thermal methods (FT-IR, TG-DTA, TG-MS, EPR, Mössbauer spectroscopy, powder XRD) and elemental analysis. The data suggested the formation of [Fe(µ-O)L(OH)] and the probable complex structures were modelled using the DFT method. The computed spectral parameters of the optimized constructs were compared to the experimentally measured ones.

Pulsed laser deposition carried out in the air under atmospheric pressure was used for the production of samples. Two sets of experiments were performed by applying nanosecond and picosecond laser ablation, respectively.

The presence of structural Fe(III) and Fe(II) in IdP was confirmed by Fe K-edge X-ray absorption near-edge structure (XANES) and Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy. In batch sorption experiments, a higher Np sorption affinity to IdP was found than to Wyoming smectite or iron-free synthetic montmorillonite.

They have been detected worldwide in environmental matrices, indicating their ineffective removal from water and wastewaters using conventional methods. In this study we present photocatalytic purification of water from Acetaminophen and Chloramphenicol by ZnO upon UV-light illumination.

Industrial aspects with successful penetration into fields like materials engineering, heterogeneous catalysis and extractive metallurgy are also reviewed. The hallmarks of mechanochemistry include influencing reactivity of solids by the presence of solid-state defects, interphases and relaxation phenomena, enabling processes to take place under non-equilibrium conditions, creating a well-crystallized core of nanoparticles with disordered near-surface shell regions and performing simple dry time-convenient one-step syntheses.
