Potential tumor suppressing role of microRNA-545 in epithelial ovarian cancer.

Epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) is the most common type of ovarian cancer, which exhibits invasive traits. MicroRNAs (miRNAs/miRs) have been demonstrated to serve important functions in the pathogenesis of EOC. However, the function of miR-545 in EOC remains unknown.

Use of a transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt combined with autologous bone marrow cell infusion in patients with decompensated liver cirrhosis: an exploratory study.

Background Aims: Currently, there is no treatment for decompensated liver cirrhosis except for liver transplantation. The safety and effect on liver function of a transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) with and without autologous bone marrow cell (BMC) infusion in patients with decompensated liver cirrhosis were determined.

Methods: Ten patients who were diagnosed with decompensated liver cirrhosis during the period from September 2011 to July 2012 were enrolled in this study.

IgGFcgammaBP and TFF3 are related with adaptation during injury, mucosal defense, and epithelial healing. In this work, we produced the polyclonal antibodies for rat IgGFcgammaBP or TFF3 and assessed their tissue distributions in adult and prenatal rats, rTFF3 molecular patterns under reduced and nonreduced condition, involvement of IgGFcgammaBP, and TFF3 in dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced colitis. Polyclonal antibodies of rat IgGFcgammaBP or TFF3 were produced with their synthetic polypeptide.
