Purpose: The primary challenge in infant care is developing a comprehensive, rapid, and reliable assessment tool that is minimally dependent on subjective evaluations and applicable in various inpatient settings. This study aims to develop and assess the structural validity of the Infant Nursing Assessment Scale (INA), enabling a comprehensive evaluation of hospitalized newborns and infants.
Design And Methods: A development and validation study based on cross-sectional design was undertaken.
According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) more than 14% of the world's food production is lost every year before reaching retail, and another 17% is lost during the retail stage. The use of the expiration date as the main estimator of the life-end of food products creates unjustified food waste. Sensors capable of quantifying the effective food freshness and quality could substantially reduce food waste and enable more effective management of the food chain.

However, interpretations of normality vary among individuals. Understanding patients' and caregivers' experiences in depth is crucial to adjust clinical care paths and avoid complications.

Background: Comprehending and addressing the needs of caregivers during the post-intensive care unit (ICU) phase is vital for establishing sustainable support systems and improving the overall quality of life (QoL) for both patients and caregivers.
Objective: To explore the experiences of family members (FMs) caring for loved ones three-months after ICU discharge and their related QoL.
Methods And Measures: A qualitative, descriptive research was conducted.
A framework for electrolyte-gated organic transistors (EGOTs) that unifies the view of interfacial capacitive coupling of electrolyte-gated organic field-effect transistors (EGOFETs) with the volumetric capacitive coupling in organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) is proposed. The EGOT effective capacitance arises from in-series capacitances of the electrolyte/gate electrode and electrolyte/channel interfaces, and the chemical capacitance of the organic semiconductor channel whose weight with respect to the interfacial capacitance is modulated by the charge carrier density, hence by the gate voltage. The expression for chemical capacitance is derived from the DOS of the organic semiconductor, which it is assumed to exhibit exponential energy disorder in the HOMO-LUMO gap.

Immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs) are chronic diseases that are associated with an inflammatory process with unclear etiology and occur in genetically predisposed individuals. In this study, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and rheumatic disease (RD) were examined. The aim of the research is to evaluate the relationship between IMID and state anxiety and work impairment in patients.

Objective: This study aimed at identifying criteria able to predict the diagnosis of SM without skin involvement and provide an indication for bone marrow (BM) assessment.
Methods: We included 139 adult patients with unexplained osteoporosis and suspected SM.
Introduction: The objective of this study was to stratify preoperative immune cell counts by cancer specific outcomes in patients with renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and a tumor thrombus after radical nephrectomy with tumor thrombectomy.
Methods: Patients with a diagnosis of RCC with tumor thrombus that underwent radical nephrectomy with thrombectomy across an international consortium of seven institutions were included. Patients who were metastatic at diagnosis and those who received preoperative medical treatment were also included.
Certain laboratory abnormalities correlate with subvariants of systemic mastocytosis (SM) and are often prognostically relevant. To assess the diagnostic and prognostic value of individual serum chemistry parameters in SM, 2607 patients enrolled within the European Competence Network on Mastocytosis and 575 patients enrolled within the German Registry on Eosinophils and Mast Cells were analyzed. For screening and diagnosis of SM, tryptase was identified as the most specific serum parameter.

Therefore, device post-operative readjustability may be a beneficial feature in PPI management, even though it lacks study support. The purpose of this study is to describe our surgical technique for male sling (MS) implantation, assess outcomes, and the impact of readjustability.

Identifying critical needs is an important starting point to empower patients to improve their own health and behaviour. Once these needs are determined, the most relevant goals for addressing patients' needs and health potential can be established.

Although there are numerous quantitative studies on the factors that influenced vaccine hesitancy during the COVID-19 pandemic, qualitative research on the causes of vaccine refusal is still missing. This research aimed to investigate the phenomenon of nurses who refused to receive COVID-19 vaccination despite being required to do so, as well as the reasons behind their refusal.

The current study was designed to validate the Italian version of the Family Satisfaction in the Intensive Care Unit (FS-ICU) using the Rasch model. Results included reliability and separation for items and persons, item fit statistics, unidimensionality, and item characteristic curve.

SETD2 loss of function has been observed in solid and hematologic malignancies. We have recently reported that most patients with advanced systemic mastocytosis (AdvSM) and some with indolent or smoldering SM display H3K36Me3 deficiency as a result of a reversible loss of SETD2 due to reduced protein stability.

The ECNM consists of a net of specialized centers, expert physicians, and scientists who dedicate their work to MC diseases. One essential aim of the ECNM is to timely distribute all available information about the disease to patients, doctors, and scientists.

Objectives: To investigate the prevalence and prognostic impact of 1 or more organomegalies on clinical course and survival in patients with CM/SM.
Methods: Therefore, 3155 patients with CM (n = 1002 [32%]) or SM (n = 2153 [68%]) enrolled within the registry of the European Competence Network on Mastocytosis were analyzed.
