Congenital leukaemia (CL) is an exceptionally uncommon hematologic malignancy originating intrauterine and is typically associated with an unfavourable prognosis. The present case is a seven-day-old Malay baby girl who presented with mild fever and hepatosplenomegaly. She was initially treated as neonatal sepsis however subsequent investigations with bone marrow, trephine biopsy and immunophenotyping were consistent with B acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.

The breakpoint in these rearrangements can pinpoint the disease-related gene's location. This paper presents two rare cases of chromosomal rearrangement involving chromosome 6 (6p24-25) and chromosome 14 (14q22-23).

Up to 10% of LTBI cases can reactivate into active tuberculosis, posing risks to HCWs and patients. Understanding HCWs' intention to undergo LTBI treatment is crucial for designing effective management policies, especially where no LTBI policy exists.

The purpose of this study is to assess the current state of rheumatic diseases in the northwestern region of Syria, where the health care infrastructure has been severely impacted. This was a retrospective study reviewing all patients with rheumatologic conditions seen in internal medicine clinics in northwest Syria between September 2019 and February 2022.

As of May 20, 2023, 132,782 suspected cases had been reported, primarily in northwest and northeast Syria. We aim to provide a detailed description of water sources and clinical status of a patient cohort seen at a cholera treatment center (CTC) in northwest Syria.

Around 11 individuals with interstitial deletion spanning the region 3q21 were reported to have overlapping phenotypes, including craniofacial dysmorphism, global developmental delay, skeletal manifestations, hypotonia, ophthalmological abnormalities, brain anomalies (mainly agenesis of corpus callosum), genitourinary tract anomalies, failure to thrive and microcephaly. We present a male individual from Kuwait with a 5.

The search query related to gene and bipolar disorder from the Scopus database identified 1848 documents from 1951 to 2020. The growth in the publications increased since early 1990, peaked in 2011, and started to decline thereafter.

The incidence of POST following GA using a supraglottic airway device (SAD) is approximately 50%, with symptoms persisting up to 48 h. We examined the role of preoperative lozenges containing amylmetacresol and dichlorobenzyl alcohol (AMC/DCBA) with lignocaine (Strepsils Max Plus) in reducing the incidence and intensity of POST following GA using SAD.

Despite aneuploidy being the major cause of first trimester miscarriages, very few aneuploidies such as trisomies of chromosomes 13, 18 and 21 survive to birth. The results of 4,064 patients referred for cytogenetic analysis at Human Genome Centre, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Kelantan, Malaysia between 2008 and 2019 were reviewed.

Background And Objectives: There is no report on the long-term outcomes of ataxia with antibodies against Delta and Notch-like epidermal growth factor-related (DNER). We aimed to describe the clinical-immunologic features and long-term outcomes of patients with anti-DNER antibodies.
Methods: Patients tested positive for anti-DNER antibodies between 2000 and 2020 were identified retrospectively.
In light of the ongoing occurrence of epidemics, the general populace frequently makes the decision to curtail their nomadic lifestyle in order to protect both their health and their safety. This has resulted in a number of issues, the most notable of which are the drop in the people's living happiness index and the poor business that the tourism industry has been experiencing as a result. Therefore, the idea of "cloud tourism" is undoubtedly the first candidate for the tourism industry, and in order to meet the requirements of cloud tourism, it is necessary to have an entirely new system to serve this, of which the scenic guide robot is an important part.

We hypothesise that the Hounsfield unit (HU) measured from CT images is correlated to the t-scores derived from dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) in multiple anatomic regions.
Materials & Methods: Data were obtained retrospectively from all patients who underwent both CT examinations - brain (frontal bone), thorax (T7), abdomen (L3), spine (T7 & L3) or pelvis (left hip) - and DXA between 2014 and 2018 in our centre.
Fatigued driving is one of the main causes of traffic accidents. The electroencephalogram (EEG)-based mental state analysis method is an effective and objective way of detecting fatigue. However, as EEG shows significant differences across subjects, effectively "transfering" the EEG analysis model of the existing subjects to the EEG signals of other subjects is still a challenge.

Nonetheless, the association between T2DM and VDR polymorphisms remains inconclusive. We determined the genotype of VDR rs1544410 (BsmI) and rs2228570 (FokI) polymorphisms among Malaysian patients with T2DM and their association with glycemic control factors (vitamin D levels, calcium, magnesium, and phosphate).

Due to the significant differences in EEG signals across subjects, and difficulty in collecting sufficient EEG samples for analysis during driving, detecting fatigue across subjects through using EEG signals remains a challenge. EasyTL is a kind of transfer-learning model, which has demonstrated better performance in the field of image recognition, but not yet been applied in cross-subject EEG-based applications.

The protracted conflict has led to the exodus of more than 70% of the healthcare workforce. Those remaining work in dangerous conditions with insufficient resources and a healthcare system that has been decimated by protracted conflict.

There is a growing evidence supporting the down-regulated miRNAs in HCSCs as key suppressors for the stemness traits, but still more details are vague about how these miRNAs modulate the HCC development. To uncover some of these miRNA regulatory aspects in HCSC, we compiled 15 down-regulated miRNA and their validated and predicted up-regulated targets in HCSC.

Although they are histologically benign, they have invasive nature makes total resection virtually impossible to achieve in most cases and this lead to residual tumors after surgery. To decrease postoperative surgical resection morbidity of these tumors, gamma knife radiosurgery (GKRS) was performed as alternative management for these residual chordomas to evaluate its safety and efficacy.
