Ankle injuries are among the most common musculoskeletal injuries in the elderly. However, among the new scientific publications, both foreign and domestic, there are almost no examples and algorithms for conducting rehabilitation exercises for elderly patients, which prevents the introduction of these practices into rehabilitation measures. The purpose of our study is to evaluate the created technique of physical rehabilitation and, with a reliable result, to introduce it into the daily work of doctors of various profiles who provide assistance to patients with ankle joint injuries.

Material And Methods: Reconstructive surgery on the bile ducts was performed in 53 patients. We analyzed the learning curves based on the incidence of anastomotic leakage after hepaticojejunostomy.
Although broad consensus exists that photoirradiation of mixed-halide lead perovskites leads to anion segregation, no model today fully rationalizes all aspects of this near ubiquitous phenomenon. Here, we quantitatively compare experimental, CsPb(IBr) nanocrystal (NC) terminal anion photosegregation stoichiometries and excitation intensity thresholds to a band gap-based, thermodynamic model of mixed-halide perovskite photosegregation. Mixed-halide NCs offer strict tests of theory given physical sizes, which dictate local photogenerated carrier densities.

The study was based on 166 clinical cases. To achieve this goal, patients were divided into three groups according to the type of surgery underground.

Previous work has suggested that efficient HIV entry also depends on intracellular signaling, but this remains controversial. Here we report that formation of the pre-fusion Env-CD4-coreceptor complexes triggers non-apoptotic cell surface exposure of the membrane lipid phosphatidylserine (PS).

Aim: Study cytokine status in mice immunized with vaccines containing acellular pertussis component.
Materials And Methods: Vaccines developed in Mechnikov RIVS - acellular pertussis vaccine (aPV) and adsorbed pertussis-diphtheria-tetanus vaccine (aDTaP), containing a complex of protective antigens of pertussis microbe - were used in the study. F₁ (CBAxC₅₇B1₆) line mice weighing 12 - 14 g were immunized intraperitoneally 3 times at an interval of 7 days with aPV and aDTaP at human immunization dose (0.
The aim of current research was to find negative effects caused by eliminating power line interference in ECG signal with narrow-band recursive notch filter and to search for a filtering method that will solve a problem of signal distortion. During the study the method of ECG filtering with narrow-band recursive filter was described. The main negative attribute of this filter is a transient noise, also called "ringing" effect, as the reaction to a single impulse visible as R spikes on the ECG signals.

At nanomolar to low micromolar R9 concentrations and at physiological temperature, peptide entry involves endocytosis. In contrast, at a concentration ≥10 μM, R9 induces a very effective non-endocytic entry pathway specific for cationic peptides.

Aim: Study of Bordetella pertussis lipopolysaccharide (LPS) immunobiological properties in the acellular pertussis vaccine.
Materials And Methods: Experimental series of acellular pertussis vaccines (APV), lyophilized LPS were used. Antibody titers against LPS in mice sera were evaluated by using EIA with peroxidase conjugate of anti-species antibodies against mice IgG.

Aim: Evaluate standardness of antigenic composition of pertussis component, completeness of sorption of pertussis, diphtheria and tetanus components, specific activity and safety of experimental series ofADTP-vaccine with acellular pertussis component (ADTaP-vaccine).
Materials And Methods: The content of separate antigens (pertussis toxin, filamentous hemagglutinin and agglutinogens 1, 2, 3) in samples of acellular pertussis component of ADTaP-vaccine and completeness of sorption of pertussis component of ADTaP-vaccine were evaluated by using enzyme immunoassay. Completeness of sorption of diphtheria and tetanus components were determined in flocculation reaction and antitoxin-binding reactions, respectively.

Analysis of data on epidemic process of pertussis infection in conditions of wide coverage of population by prophylactic vaccination is presented. Post-vaccination immunity against pertussis was shown to reduce with age; therefore a large part of vaccinated children becomes susceptible to this infection already in primary school age. Epidemic process of pertussis continues both as manifest form and as subclinical and atypical forms.

A comparative analysis of the effectiveness of different methods of hemostasis when performing nephron sparing interventions was conducted. It is shown that physical methods of hemostasis do not meet the necessary requirements, increasing warm ischemia time and the risk of intraoperative blood loss, and makes it difficult to visualize the boundaries of resection.

Operations using LESS method (Laparo-Endoscopic Single-Site Surgery) were performed in 21 patients, including 14 nephrectomies and 7 cyst resections. In five cases, nephrectomy was performed due to terminal hydronephrosis, in two cases--due to presence of arteriolosclerotic kidney, in seven cases--due to renal cell carcinoma (T1a-bN0M0).

The oncogenic RAS-selective lethal small molecule erastin triggers a unique iron-dependent form of nonapoptotic cell death that we term ferroptosis. Ferroptosis is dependent upon intracellular iron, but not other metals, and is morphologically, biochemically, and genetically distinct from apoptosis, necrosis, and autophagy.

Efforts to take on this public health crisis have been hindered by lack of infrastructure and rapid field deployable diagnosis in areas where the disease is prevalent. Recent capacity building at the Kenema Government Hospital Lassa Fever Ward (KGH LFW) in Sierra Leone has lead to a major turning point in the diagnosis, treatment and study of LF.

Background: Proneurotrophins and mature neurotrophins elicit opposite effects via the p75 neurotrophin receptor (p75(NTR)) and Trk tyrosine kinase receptors, respectively; however the molecular roles of proneurotrophins in the CNS are not fully understood.
Results: Based on two rare single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of the human brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) gene, we generated R125M-, R127L- and R125M/R127L-BDNF, which have amino acid substitution(s) near the cleavage site between the pro- and mature-domain of BDNF. Western blot analyses demonstrated that these BDNF variants are poorly cleaved and result in the predominant secretion of proBDNF.
