The performance of anchovy purse seine in the North Coastal Java Sea, Indonesia.

Small pelagic fishes including anchovies in Indonesia are caught by using different types of fishing gears. However, the anchovy purse seine commonly used polyethylene (PE) as material webbing which is less effective in the North Coastal Java Sea. This study aims to describe the design and construction of the anchovy purse seine and the characteristics of this gear construction.
