Triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a heterogeneous group of tumors which lack estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, and HER2 expression. Targeted therapies have limited success in treating TNBC, thus a strategy enabling effective targeted combinations is an unmet need. To tackle these challenges and discover individualized targeted combination therapies for TNBC, we integrated phosphoproteomic analysis of altered signaling networks with patient-specific signaling signature (PaSSS) analysis using an information-theoretic, thermodynamic-based approach.

HNA3-emitted volatile organic compounds (VOCs) have demonstrated the capacity to impede the growth of phytopathogens affecting some fruits and vegetables, even in the absence of direct contact. Additionally, these volatiles enhanced soybean seed germination by breaking seed dormancy and inducing root system development.

The treatment options remained limited to definitive surgery, surgery followed by fractionated radiotherapy with optional chemotherapy, and a definitive combination of fractionated radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Lately, immunotherapy has been introduced as the fourth modality of treatment, mainly administered as a single checkpoint inhibitor for recurrent or metastatic disease.

Here, we sequenced the entire genome of the HNA3 strain and performed a comparative genome analysis. We found that HNA3 has a 3,929-kb chromosome with 46.

The reported patient is a 15-y-old female who presented to the Mycetoma Research Centre, University of Khartoum, Khartoum, Sudan, in 2017 with recurrent back and anterior abdominal wall eumycetoma lesions. They were surgically excised, and during the course of follow-up, she developed 15 other eumycetoma lesions, scattered mostly on her upper and lower limbs and gluteal region.

Among them, stand out acute media otitis and diffuse external otitis, acute pharyngitis and acute rhinosinusitis. Commonly they are viral and self-limited, so their complications are rare.

Among other medical issues, these patients may develop endocrine problems, specific to HIV infection and its treatment. The purpose of this review is to give an overview of common endocrine complications associated with HIV infection, and to propose diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.

Diabetes is the main cause of end-stage renal disease (ESRD) in the developed countries and its prevalence and incidence have been constantly increasing over the years. To determine the prevalence and profile of diabetic nephropathy in our ESRD population, we retrospectively studied 564 hemodialysis patients in ten dialysis units in Casablanca. The mean age was 49 +/-16.

Sexual dysfunction impairs the quality of life of patients undergoing hemodialysis (HD). The aim of this study was to evaluate the prevalence and the nature of sexual dysfunction in a Moroccan cohort of patients with chronic renal failure (CRF) on HD. This cross-sectional study was carried out with a questionnaire in 86 patients undergoing hemodialysis.

Vascular access (VA) for patients needing maintenance hemodialysis (HD) remains a major obstacle in the management of patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). We retrospectively analyzed 190 patients, (92 males and 98 females) who had been on HD for a period ranging from 12 to 240 months. Their mean age was 42.

TINU or Dobrin syndrome is a rare oculo-renal inflammatory condition which is comprised of acute idiopathic tubulointerstitial nephritis and uveitis. We report here two female patients aged 35 and 44 years, who were admitted with severe renal failure of acute onset (serum creatinine of 607 and 310 Umol/L [Editor note: do you mean "micromol/L"?] respectively) with the first patient requiring hemodialysis. The cause of acute renal failure was unclear on clinical and laboratory assessment, and a percutaneous renal biopsy was performed which showed features of acute tubulointerstitial nephritis in both cases.

The objective of this study is to determine the prevalence of the hepatitis C, the hepatitis B, the HIV infection in haemodialysis patients and the main risk factors for hepatitis C in the chronic haemodialysis patients treated in haemodialysis unit of Ibn Rochd University Hospital in Casablanca. This retrospective study was performed in 186 chronic haemodialysis patients and showed a high prevalence of HVC infection (76%), the prevalence of HBV infection was at 2%, none of the patients had detectable antibodies of HIV.

In patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD), brown tumors are classic skeletal manifestations usually seen in severe forms of secondary HPT. Observation: A 59 year-old woman suffering from chronic kidney failure, treated for the past year by haemodialysis, was hospitalized for alteration in her general status of health and severe digestive problems. Three parasitological examinations of the faeces revealed the presence of Strongyloides stercoralis larvae, although she had never spent time in the Tropics.
