In this paper, alumina-modified wood liquefaction (AL-WP) was prepared by blending nano-alumina (AlO) into wood liquefaction phenolic resin (WP) using a co-blending method. Alumina-modified wood liquefaction protofilament fiber (AL-WPF) was obtained by melt-spinning, curing, and thermo-curing processes, which were followed by carbonization to obtain alumina-modified wood liquefaction carbon fiber (AL-WCF). This paper focuses on the enhancement effect of nano-alumina doping on the mechanical properties and heat resistance of wood liquefaction carbon fiber (WCF), explores the evolution of graphite microcrystalline structure during the high-temperature carbonization process, and optimizes the curing conditions of AL-WPF.

Background: Understanding the interplay between psychopathology of alcohol withdrawal syndrome (AWS) in alcohol use disorder (AUD) patients may improve the effectiveness of relapse interventions for AUD. Network theory of mental disorders assumes that mental disorders persist not of a common functional disorder, but from a sustained feedback loop between symptoms, thereby explaining the persistence of AWS and the high relapse rate of AUD. The current study aims to establish a network of AWS, identify its core symptoms and find the bridges between the symptoms which are intervention target to relieve the AWS and break the self-maintaining cycle of AUD.

For robot-assisted pelvic fracture reduction, at least two bone needles need to be inserted into the ilium of the affected pelvis, and the robot clamping device is connected with the bone needles. The biomechanical properties of the pelvic musculoskeletal tissues are different with the different Spatial Position and Orientation (SPO) of the bone needles. In order to determine the optimal SPO of bone needle pairs, the constraints between the bone needles and the pelvis are analyzed, and the SPO vectors of 150 groups bone needles are obtained by the KNN-hierarchical clustering method; a batch modeling method of bone needles with different SPO is proposed.

Objective: Toll-like receptor 2 (TLR2), recognizes a wide variety of pathogen-associated molecular patterns such as lipopolysaccharides, peptidoglycans, and lipopeptides, and is generally believed to be present in monocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, and vascular endothelial cells. However, no histological examination of osteoclasts, which differentiate from precursors common to macrophages/monocytes, has been performed in a non-infected state of TLR2 deficiency. As the by-product accompanied by sewage treatment, sludge has complex composition and high moisture content, therefore, its reutilization and disposal are still a challenge. In this paper, five kinds of quartz sand conditioners with different particle sizes (denoted as QS1, QS2, QS3, QS4 and QS5, respectively) were used to explore the effect of particle size distribution of conditioners on sludge dewatering performance. The moisture content, capillary suction time (CST), time to filter (TTF), specific resistance of filtration (SRF), particle size distribution curve, pore distribution law, scanning electron microscopy, isothermal adsorption-desorption curve and extracellular polymeric substances distribution were employed to characterize the modified sludge and explore the improvement mechanism.

Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop novel antibacterial agents, while drug repurposing is a promising approach to address this issue. The effect of storage time on green coffee volatile organic compounds (VOCs) was studied by their separation head space solid-phase microextraction and identification gas chromatography-ion mobility spectrometry. In total, 38 kinds of VOCs, mainly composed of alcohols, aldehydes, esters and ketones, were identified. The fingerprint showed that the VOCs produced by green coffee in different years had obvious differences, especially, acrolein, 3-methylbutyl acetate, butanoic acid, heptan-3-ol, and so on, that could be used to predict the storage time.
