Effect of diet, exercise and sleep on tic severity: a scoping review protocol.

Introduction: Tourette syndrome is a common childhood-onset neuropsychiatric disorder, with tics that wax and wane in frequency and severity over time. The purpose of the proposed scoping review is to map the types of evidence available pertaining to the effect of diet, sleep and exercise on tic severity and identify key concepts and gaps in research.

Methods: Our scoping review will use the six-step framework recommended by Arksey and O'Malley, with enhancements from Levac and Joanna Briggs Institute.

Factors associated with the responsive behaviours of older adults living in long-term care homes towards staff: a systematic review protocol.

Introduction: In the last decade, increasing research interest has been expressed in responsive behaviours of older adults living in long-term care (LTC) homes, including nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Responsive behaviours are not only a sign of underlying unmet needs, but when directed against (towards) paid staff can lead to decreased quality of work life, and may contribute to lower quality of care. In this systematic review, we aim to synthesise empirically based quantitative and qualitative evidence on factors and stakeholder (eg, staff and family members) experiences of factors associated with the responsive behaviours of people living in LTC directed towards staff.

Depression Case Finding in Individuals with Dementia: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

Objectives: To compare the diagnostic accuracy of depression case finding tools with a criterion standard in the outpatient setting among adults with dementia.

Design: Systematic review and meta-analysis.

Setting: Studies of older outpatients with dementia.
