Background: Pelvic floor muscles training (PFMT), with or without biofeedback (BF), is widely utilized as an alternative treatment for various refractory lower urinary tract dysfunctions in adults and children. This study aimed to compare the efficacy of PFMT alone versus in combination with BF on functional urinary incontinence (UI) in children.
Patients And Methods: Medical records of children who had undergone pelvic floor rehabilitation for non-neuropathic intermittent UI from 2018 to 2022 were retrieved.
In recent decades, serum tumor markers (STMs) have emerged as valuable adjuncts in early cancer detection and post-treatment surveillance. STMs are inexpensive, minimally invasive, and readily accessible tools that can be used to diagnose cancers, monitor patients' responses to treatment, and even detect recurrence without imposing additional burdens on patients. Emerging evidence has demonstrated the reliability of STMs in the prognostication of bladder cancer (BC).

Methods: Near horizontal heterophoria of 20 visually normal young adults was measured using the Maddox Wing, Howell Card and two versions of a newly designed Huddersfield Heterophoria Test (HHT) card. The HHT cards are based on the Prentice method, either with or without an additional spatially defined grating superimposed on the scale.
A mere glance at the foundation of the sericulture industry to produce silk and the consequent establishment of the Silk Road to transport it; elucidates the significant role that this material has played in human history. Owing to its exceptional robustness, silk was introduced into medicine as a surgical suture approximately two millennia ago. During the last decades, silk has garnered attention as a possible source of biological-based materials that can be effectively used in regenerative medicine.

There have been few recent updates regarding the cardiac involvement in this clinical entity. The purpose of the review is to provide an update on the role of echocardiography in the management of these patients.

Of the total 44,186 participants in the Iran National Stone Survey (INSS) database, 34,953 individuals who were members of 8629 nuclear families were included in this study. The mean prevalence of urolithiasis was 5.

Methods: All data regarding urinary stone events were extracted from the cross-sectional Iran National Stone Survey (INSS) study, and the possible determinants of urolithiasis incidence were evaluated.
Results: Our multivariable logistic regression suggested that while older age at presentation, male sex, and a positive family history of urolithiasis in either of the patient's parents or siblings were all significantly associated with an increased odds of lifetime urolithiasis occurrence (all P < .
Background And Aim: Docetaxel, oxaliplatin, leucovorin and 5-fluorouracil (FLOT) may improve overall survival (OS) in patients with locally advanced gastric and gastroesophageal cancer. Our study aims to determine the pathological response in these patients with the FLOT chemotherapy in the Neoadjuvant setting. This is the first study conducted in our country.

Methods: In this 2007-2015 retrospective cohort study, the medical records of all infants who underwent a pyeloplasty due to congenital ureteropelvic junction obstruction were added.
Background: Prevention of urinary stone recurrence is the ultimate goal in urolithiasis patients. In this study, we aimed to investigate the national prevalence rate and possible determinants of increased urolithiasis recurrence risk in a nationwide study in Iran.
Methods: All data regarding stone occurrence and recurrence episodes were extracted from the cross-sectional Iran National Stone Survey (INSS) study, and the possible determinants of recurrence were evaluated in the subset of 2913 patients who had a positive history of at least one episode of urolithiasis.
Introduction: To evaluate the possible impact of patients' sacral ratios (SRs) on response to biofeedback (BF) therapy in pediatric patients with lower urinary tract dysfunction (LUTD).
Materials And Methods: In this retrospective cohort conducted from 2016 to 2018 in our tertiary medical center, we included the medical records of all pediatric patients with LUTD who were nominated for BF due to having abnormal uroflowmetry patterns and simultaneous increase in electromyography (EMG) activity. Ten sessions of weekly animated BF were performed for each patient.
Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the possible role of different donor and recipient vessel and ureteral anastomoses on survival and functional outcomes in en bloc kidney transplants.
Materials And Methods: This retrospective cohort included 99 en bloc kidney transplants performed from December 2005 to March 2022. Recipients were grouped based on donor's vessel (distal [n = 84] or proximal [n = 15] abdominal aorta), recipient's vessel (abdominal aorta [n = 3], external [n = 21], internal [n = 50], or common [n = 25] iliac artery), and ureteral anastomosis (separate [n = 32] or common [n = 67]).
To overcome the threat of corrosion and its cost, a new Schiff base was prepared and utilized to synthesize inorganic inhibitors to enhance corrosion resistance and reduce current density. The Schiff base was obtained from the interaction of cefotaxime with acetylacetone, while H NMR and IR spectra were used to confirm the preparation. Moreover, Fe, Co, Ni and Cu metal salts were reacted with the Schiff base to give the corresponding complexes.

However, saving and reimplanting eroded implants may be considered in patients without signs of sepsis, local infection or necrosis during preoperative evaluations and surgical exploration. Notably, close postoperative surveillance is crucial in this setting.

The emerging role of non-coding RNAs in RIF etiopathogenesis has only gained prominence over the last decade, illustrating a new dimension to our understanding of the intricate network underlying RIF. Successful embryo implantation demands a harmonious synchronization between an adequately decidualized endometrium, a competent blastocyst, and effective maternal-embryonic interactions.

HPV infection is the most common sexually transmitted disease, and is capable of infecting mucosal and cutaneous membranes of the anogenital, upper aerodigestive tract, and other head and neck mucosal regions. Although HPV infection is generally asymptomatic and can be easily resolved by the immune system, if it persists and progresses, it can lead to cancer.

Patients And Methods: In this retrospective study, we examined all patients who underwent RC from May 2017 to December 2021 at two specialized centers by the same surgical team. Patients were grouped based on their UD.
Etiology of urinary retention in pediatric age differs significantly from adults and the elderly. Therefore, a comprehensive diagnosis is crucial before specific treatment. Every effort must be made to minimize invasive procedures as far as possible in children.

Ammonia (NH), a cornerstone in the chemical industry, has historically been pivotal for producing various valuable products, notably fertilizers. Its significance is further underscored in the modern energy landscape, where NH is seen as a promising medium for hydrogen storage and transportation. However, the conventional Haber-Bosch process, which accounts for approximately 170 million ton of NH produced globally each year, is energy-intensive and environmentally damaging.

The etiology is thought to be immune-mediated and has a variable dermatologic presentation. Celiac disease (CD) is one of the most common forms of gluten intolerance and encompasses a wide range of extra-intestinal pathology, including cutaneous, endocrine, nervous, and hematologic systems.

Scientists have attempted to create the ideal platform for analyzing distinct anions based on optical sensing techniques (chromogenic and fluorogenic) by assembling different metal-containing units with suitable organic linking molecules and different organic molecules to produce crystalline porous materials. This study presents novel platforms for anion recognition based on reticular chemistry with high selectivity, sensitivity, electronic tunability, structural recognition, strong emission, and thermal and chemical stability.
