A Randomized Controlled Trial of OC-Go for Childhood Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder: Augmenting Homework Compliance in Exposure With Response Prevention Treatment.

The current study investigates a novel digital tool designed to address barriers to out-of-session homework adherence in exposure with response prevention (ERP) for child obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). The OC-Go platform allows clinicians to create and push tailored interactive protocol- or symptom-specific assignments to patients on their mobile devices, providing in-the-moment step-by-step directions, encouragement, accountability, and a sense of therapeutic presence for patients during out-of-office exposures. The platform also facilitates objective measurement of homework and allows providers to support one another through a shared and searchable crowdsourced library with hundreds of assignable exposures and psychoeducation activities for specific OCD symptoms.

5qSMA: standardised retrospective natural history assessment in 268 patients with four copies of SMN2.

Newborn screening for 5qSMA offers the potential for early, ideally pre-symptomatic, therapeutic intervention. However, limited data exist on the outcomes of individuals with 4 copies of SMN2, and there is no consensus within the SMA treatment community regarding early treatment initiation in this subgroup. To provide evidence-based insights into disease progression, we performed a retrospective analysis of 268 patients with 4 copies of SMN2 from the SMArtCARE registry in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

In-use stability of ready-to-administer daratumumab subcutaneous injection solution in plastic syringes.

Objective: In multiple myeloma patients, daratumumab is preferably injected subcutaneously. The summary of product characteristics of daratumumab subcutaneous injection solution specifies physicochemical stability for the prepared syringe for 24 hours at 2-8°C protected from light, and another 12 hours at room temperature (15-25°C) in ambient light conditions. The aim of this study was to determine the in-use stability of ready-to-administer daratumumab subcutaneous injection solution in different types of syringe and different conditions over a 28-day period.

Thereby, identity and quantity of the active ingredients bevacizumab, rituximab and trastuzumab were determined.

Objective: Cognitive functioning is essential to well-being. Since cognitive difficulties are common in many disorders, their early identification is critical, notably during childhood and adolescence. This scoping review aims to provide a comprehensive literature overview of computerized cognitive test batteries (CCTB) that have been developed and used in children and adolescents over the past 22 years and to evaluate their psychometric properties.

Behavioral-play familiarization for non-sedated magnetic resonance imaging in young children with mild traumatic brain injury.

Background: Mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) sustained in early childhood affects the brain at a peak developmental period and may disrupt sensitive stages of skill acquisition, thereby compromising child functioning. However, due to the challenges of collecting non-sedated neuroimaging data in young children, the consequences of mTBI on young children's brains have not been systematically studied. In typically developing preschool children (of age 3-5years), a brief behavioral-play familiarization provides an effective alternative to sedation for acquiring awake magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in a time- and resource-efficient manner.

The overflow of stormwater retention basins during intense and prolonged precipitation events may result in the direct input of particulate pollutants and remobilization of already sedimented particle-bound pollutants to receiving freshwater bodies. Particle-bound pollutants may cause adverse effects on aquatic biota, particularly sediment dwellers. Therefore, we investigated the sediment pollution load of a stream connected to the outfalls of two stormwater basins to determine the impact of the basins' discharges on the metal and organic pollutant content of the sediment.

Amplification and overexpression of the target site glutamine synthetase, specifically the plastid-located isoform, confers resistance to glufosinate in Amaranthus palmeri. This mechanism is novel among glufosinate-resistant weeds. Amaranthus palmeri has recently evolved resistance to glufosinate herbicide.

The efficacy of 90-min versus 60-min sessions of prolonged exposure for PTSD: A randomized controlled trial in active-duty military personnel.

Objective: Prolonged exposure (PE) therapy is a first-line posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) treatment, but the manualized 90-min session format constitutes a barrier to adopting PE in most settings because they use 60-min sessions for scheduling and billing. We examined whether 60-min PE sessions were as effective and efficient as 90-min PE sessions.

Method: In total, 160 active-duty military personnel with PTSD were randomized to 8-15 sessions of 60- or 90-min PE sessions and assessed pre- and posttreatment, and 3- and 6-month posttreatment, using the Clinician Administered PTSD Scale for Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders, 5th edition [DSM-5] (CAPS-5).

A Smartphone App for Parental Management of Adolescent Conduct Problems: Randomized Clinical Trial of iKinnect.

Objective: This study evaluates iKinnect, a linked caregiver-teen mobile app system designed to address serious adolescent conduct problems through a focus on key targets of evidence-based treatments for juvenile offending, such as parent expectation setting, monitoring, consistency, and positive reinforcement. Additional gamification and autonomy-supporting features are designed to maximize youth engagement. Digital therapeutics such as mobile apps have great potential to expand access to effective interventions, particularly for youth who engage in serious conduct problems and substance abuse, since most never receive an evidence-based treatment and few apps exist for these concerns.

The oxidized forms of OTPs, so-called oxons, have higher inhibition potentials for AChE.

Microplastic sampling from wastewater treatment plant effluents: Best-practices and synergies between thermoanalytical and spectroscopic analysis.

Wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) may represent point sources for microplastic discharge into the environment. Quantification of microplastic in effluents of WWTPs has been targeted by several studies although standardized methods are missing to enable a comparability of results. This study discusses theoretical and practical perspectives on best practices for microplastic sampling campaigns of WWTPs.

Effect of massed v. standard prolonged exposure therapy on PTSD in military personnel and veterans: a non-inferiority randomised controlled trial.

Background: A short, effective therapy for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) could decrease barriers to implementation and uptake, reduce dropout, and ameliorate distressing symptoms in military personnel and veterans. This non-inferiority RCT evaluated the efficacy of 2-week massed prolonged exposure (MPE) therapy compared to standard 10-week prolonged exposure (SPE), the current gold standard treatment, in reducing PTSD severity in both active serving and veterans in a real-world health service system.

Methods: This single-blinded multi-site non-inferiority RCT took place in 12 health clinics across Australia.

Background: There is a high demand for managing skin disease, and dermatologists are in short supply.

Objectives: To better understand how rashes and other specific skin conditions are co-managed by primary care providers (PCPs) and dermatologists, we estimated the frequency with which PCPs sought consultation with or referral to dermatology and the proportion of patients who had a follow-up dermatology office visit in the following 90 days.

Design And Setting: The retrospective longitudinal study included 106,459 patients with a skin condition diagnosed by 3,830 PCPs, from January 2017 to March 2017.
